| Extracurricular homework,as an assignment that needs to be performed by students outside of normal class hours,is an essential means for students to review and consolidate knowledge,and it is also a vital method for students to collect basic knowledge and abilities.In contrast to the current basic education curriculum reform and the "double reduction" policy,which focuses on classroom teaching,extracurricular homework design research,particularly the design of extracurricular assignments in high-grade English in primary schools,requires immediate attention.At the moment,the content and style of English extracurricular homework in the upper half of elementary schools is still mostly based on conventional English extracurricular homework,which has an impact on students’ motivation in learning English topics and learning outcomes.The focus of this research is on how to create scientific and efficient task-based English extracurricular assignments so that learners can consolidate what they’ve learned through task completion and experience the joy and sense of accomplishment that comes with task completion,so that students can regain interest in English learning.This study takes the design of highend English task-based extracurricular homework in primary schools as the research theme,adopts questionnaires,interviews and other research methods to investigate the current situation of English extracurricular homework in two primary schools in Chongqing,and through the survey,finds the problems existing in the current high-end English homework design of primary schools,and combines the curriculum standards and textbook analysis,etc.,to dig deep into the causes of the formation of problems,and then combines relevant theories to propose the basic theories,principles,processes and strategies of high-end English task-based extracurricular homework design in primary schools.And form a task-based extracurricular assignment design scheme.Based on the research conclusions,the main contents of the paper include the following main parts:The research background,research importance,concept definition,literature review,study aims and contents,and research ideas and techniques are all included in the introductory part.To understand the present state of English extracurricular assignment design in the upper primary school,surveys and interviews were done for high-grade primary school students and English instructors,respectively.The second part introduces the theoretical interpretation of the task-based extracurricular assignment design is carried out,and the theoretical basis,connotation,value and principle of the high-level English assignment-based extracurricular assignment design of the primary school are explained and explained,providing a theoretical basis for the design of the task-based extracurricular assignment.Subsequently,the specific operation of the design of highlevel English task-based extracurricular homework in primary schools was proposed,taking the human-taught version of primary school English textbooks as an example,the unit themes and unit sections of the teaching materials were sorted out and analyzed,and the type design of high-level English task-based extracurricular homework in primary schools was carried out,five common task-type extracurricular homework types were proposed,and the basic links of the design of high-level English tasks-based extracurricular homework in primary schools were constructed based on this,and the process and main strategies of task-based extracurricular homework design were proposed.Finally,five typical forms of task-based extracurricular homework are developed to give reference and inspiration for the design of English extracurricular homework in the upper half of primary schools,based on the previous current situation survey,concept interpretation,and connection strategy. |
