| The presentation of the film can be described as a highly comprehensive experience,a movie atmosphere that the audience can feel wholeheartedly.In recent years,China scholars are looking for theories that can explain the unique ontological status of films in order to build Chinese film theory.Some early concepts have also been paid attention to again,and "atmosphere" is one of them.In addition,the academic circles have paid attention to the film atmosphere in recent years,which shows the key to "atmosphere".In the west,there is also a lot of research on "atmosphere".Pomer’s atmosphere aesthetics takes the atmosphere as a kind of emotional space and a kind of overall situation feeling,and defines the definition and manufacturability of atmosphere,which makes the study of atmosphere a big step forward.Here,from the perspective of western atmosphere aesthetics,this paper makes a concrete study of Kubrick’s films with great atmosphere,deeply discusses the manufacturing methods and presentation characteristics of atmosphere,so as to watch the concrete "atmosphere" from the perspective of practice,and make a modest contribution to the above research and the development of film atmosphere in China and the development of film in aesthetic education.A close study of Kubrick’s films and the praises they received shows that Kubrick’s films are brilliant in philosophy and unique in style,and he dabbles in many types of films,creating different atmospheres just right.Based on the new phenomenology,the atmosphere aesthetics emphasizes that starting from the direct physical experience,the atmosphere is regarded as a kind of emotional space and a kind of overall situation feeling,which makes the atmosphere locatable and makes it clear that the atmosphere can be manufactured.Here,taking Kubrick’s films as the research object,the atmosphere of Kubrick’s films is dissected from the relevant theories of atmosphere aesthetics.The first chapter,the introduction,mainly introduces the research background,research content,literature review,research significance and methods;The second chapter expounds the basic situation of Kubrick’s films and the related concepts of atmosphere aesthetics;The third chapter dissects and summarizes the key elements of creating atmosphere in atmosphere aesthetics and the elements of creating atmosphere in Kubrick’s films,namely,space and scene design,light and tone,and sound.The fourth chapter,starting from the presentation of specific atmosphere,dissects and presents five prominent,frequent or classic atmospheres of Kubrick’s 13 feature films,namely,absurdity,horror,science fiction,war and historical atmosphere,and proves the overall presentation form of the atmosphere,thus confirming the atmosphere achievements of the film in which sound,color and face are processed and designed by the producers.In the last chapter,on the basis of the author’s demonstration,I refer to the film history and Kubrick’s works,etc.,in order to think more systematically and accurately about the atmosphere implication of Kubrick’s films,and to discuss its atmosphere value from three aspects: the emphasis on experience,the balance between implication and experience,and its outstanding atmosphere value in the history of film art. |
