| A synonymous compound word refers to a combined compound word composed of two synonymous morphemes Juxtaposed.This article takes seven synonymous compounds of“covering”as the research ob Ject,including“fugai(覆盖)、yangai(掩盖)、yanbi(掩蔽)、zhebi(遮蔽)、zhegai(遮盖)、zheyan(遮掩)、zhedang(遮挡)”.Through statistical usage frequency and analysis of corpus,combined with synchronic and diachronic research,this paper conducts statistics,description,and analysis of synonymous compounds with“covering”meaning,explores the formation,evolution,and use ofthis type ofverb,and distinguishes the semantic,grammatical,and stylistic characteristics of synonymous compounds with“covering”meaning.The thesis consists of five parts.The introduction first explains the synonymous compound words of“ covering ”,clarifies the limiting conditions,and defines the research ob Ject.Secondly,it sorts out the relevant research achievements ofpredecessors and summarizes the current research situation.Finally,it elaborates the research methods,significance,and corpus sources of this article.The first chapter explains the motivation for the formation of synonymous compound words with “covering”,including the conditions and mechanisms ofword formation,as well as the factors that affect the order of morphemes.“covering ”synonymous compound words are mainly generated by the association mechanism,relying on the advantages of a large number of synonymous monosyllabic words and Joint word formation that actually exist in the language.The arrangement of morphemes mainly follows the principle of saving effort in tone,making it easy to address.The second chapter describes the use characteristics and frequency of synonymous compound words with “ covering ”in different historical periods.Based on diachronic description,this paper studies the diachronic development of each member of the synonymous compound word “covering ”,summarizes the characteristics of evolution,including the emergence and use ofnew words in each period,the extension ofword meaning,and the replacement of leading words.From ancient times to the present,the action sub Jects,tools,and ob Jects of synonymous compound words with “covering ” have been expanded and changed to varying degrees,and their grammatical use has become more abundant.However,their basic semantic and grammatical characteristics remain stable.The third chapter describes the synchronic distribution of“ covering ”synonymous compounds in modern Chinese,and analyzes them from three aspects: semantic features,grammatical features,and stylistic features.The semantic feature analysis uses the conceptual element analysis method to extract six conceptual element dimensions,among which the "cover" synonymous compound words have the same characteristics in the three conceptual elements of action sub Ject,tool,and result.Therefore,the semantic features of the“cover”synonymous compound words are analyzed and described in the three conceptual element dimensions of action ob Ject,action mode,and action purpose.From a grammatical perspective,the part of speech of “covering” synonymous compounds is a verb,mainly used as the predicate or predicate center of a sentence,with the patient ob Ject.The collocation of word meaning limiting words and the different expressions of “ covering ”synonymous compounds in displacement,locality,and causality limit the types of complements they carry.Finally,the distribution of synonymous compound words with“covering ”in official documents,political commentaries,science and technology,literature and art,and spoken language was studied and statistically measured.Its stylistic distribution is uneven,and this imbalance is mainly caused by the semantic characteristics of“covering ”synonymous compounds,the applicable collocation ob Jects,and the different characteristics of each genre.The fourth chapter is an epilogue,which mainly examines the synonymous compound words of“covering ”that have emerged in history but have not been the ob Ject of this study.The conclusion summarizes the previous content and explains the shortcomings of this article. |
