| Yang Shen is not only a famous poet,litterateur,but also has quite high attainments of calligraphy.His many creative ideas in the theory of calligraphy aesthetics formed a more systematic thought of calligraphy aesthetics.At that time and in the future,Yunnan’s book circle,and even the country’s book circle,have had a more profound influence.Yang Shen inherited his family’s education and received good calligraphy aesthetic edification since childhood.After becoming an adult,he first adopted the thick and vigorous style of the body,and then changed to the pursuit of free and easy demeanor of Wei and Jin Dynasties.As a scholar with outstanding achievements in the field of poetics and literature,Yang Shen’s poetics thought and literary accomplishment have provided rich nourishment for the formation of his calligraphic aesthetic thought.In addition,Yang Shen’s aesthetic thoughts of calligraphy were closely related to his times,so he inherited the retro style of the Ming Dynasty.Yang Shen’s thoughts on calligraphy aesthetics are as follows: in the aspect of expression theory,he believes that calligraphy is a kind of expression art to express human nature,advocating the combination of emotion and nature,namely "reasonableness";In terms of the style of calligraphy,he advocated the diversification of calligraphy aesthetic style.Of course,it was still his highest pursuit of calligraphy aesthetics to abandon the pavilion style of calligraphy and promote the simple demeanor of Xiao SAN and Jin Dynasty.In terms of theory of calligraphy appreciation,Yang shen appreciates Zhao Meng fu calligraphy,the essence of which is in the Ming dynasty calligraphy connoisseurship style restoring ancient ways of concrete manifestation,fundamentally,Zhao Meng fu calligraphy is yuan and Ming pay attention to the formal appearance requirements.So Yang Shen tried his best to pursue the "rhyme" of Wei and Jin Dynasties,but he was entangled in the "state" and "rhyme" after all.In addition,Yang Shen’s calligraphic aesthetic thought is of great value and significance.His research on "Yu Tablet","official script origin" and Wang Xizhi’s classic works opened the wind of calligraphy examination in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties.The admiration for Jin Yun was also reflected in the wide acceptance of the style of Song Yi which was closely related to Jin Yun,which further developed the theory of Song Dynasty writing;Yang Shen left his ink marks in many places in Yunnan,which was deeply loved by local people and promoted the conscious development of Yunnan calligraphy.The thesis is divided into four chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,explaining the background,significance and value of the topic.The second chapter analyzes the origin and background of Yang Shen’s calligraphic aesthetics.The third chapter explains the main contents of Yang Shen’s aesthetic thoughts of calligraphy from three dimensions: expression theory,style theory and appreciation theory.The fourth chapter analyzes the value and significance of Yang Shen’s calligraphic aesthetic thought and its important influence on Yunnan calligraphic circle and even the national calligraphic field.The conclusion summarizes the thesis and points out the future direction of further research. |
