Fox Charm-"Qi" Band <The Overhanging Sky> Album Cover Photography Design

This project is designed to cover the new album <The Overhanging Sky> by Chinese dark metal band Qi.Taking the fox demon in the traditional Chinese culture as the main image source,expressing the musical connotation of the metal music album with "fox mei",combining the western Gothic vampire pop culture with the current Chinese national style trend,and exploring the localized research and practice of the visual design of metal music.It aims to provide strategic reference for the localized visual design of Chinese metal music,improve the design level of Chinese metal music album and photography,and enrich the cultural and creative industry market.Demand research report: In order to clarify the positioning of this project design,we first investigate the development status of Chinese metal music,which is now in the revival era of local development.Secondly,with the analysis of "Kai" band and "Hanging Sky" album,the connotation of metal music needs to be localized for visual presentation.Then the fan questionnaire survey,the current China-fashion style.Therefore,Chinese style visual design is the current trend of localized design.In view of the inherent nature of metal music derived from western culture,in order to draw on the visual design paradigm of foreign metal music,the representative image symbols of the East and the West are selected and compared to find that western vampires and Chinese fox demons have similarities.Selected with the Chinese fox demon as the main body image to explore the localization design.Theoretical research report: In order to demonstrate the rationality of the album cover design scheme,the relevant scholars are cited on the connotation interoperability and form similarity of vampire and fox demon,to demonstrate the rationality of the choice of fox demon.In order to draw lessons from the mature design paradigm abroad,quote the research results of vampires in cinemscience,guide the research of vampire image and visual style construction in the cover of western metal music album,summarize the genre characteristics and visual design paradigm,and provide mode and standard guidance for the cover design of metal music album.In order to guide the image design of fox demon to express fox charm,the study of Chinese fox demon in the field of literature is quoted to interpret the multicultural connotation of fox demon.To study the image of fox demon in popular fashion culture,grasp the design characteristics of the current national style.Design practice process report: Based on demand research and theoretical guidance,expressing the connotation of metal music with "fox mei",and implementing it into three themes."Survival and Death" uses classic paintings,replaced with fox demon,gothic darkness,explains the thinking of life and death."Love and lust" with the tail of the fox demon,the interaction between human and demon,the ethereal environment of the national wind,experience the drive of desire."Rebirth and alienation" continues the soul of the rebel with the mechanical fox demon,the leap between beast and man,and the science fiction of cybernet format.Using real model posing and AI to generate virtual scenes and special image elements,complete the six photography works and the layout of the album cover.The album cover of "Hanging Sky" will be released on the market,guiding people to pay attention to metal music culture through CD products and music platforms,and enriching the entertainment industry.
