Singing Analysis And Teaching Inquiry Of The Aria Monica’s Waltz In Menotti’s Opera The Medium

Gian Carlo Menotti is an Itali An-American composer in the 20 th century.The Medium is one of his representative opera works.In this paper,the aria "Monica’s Waltz" in the first song of the second act of the opera "The Medium" is taken as the research object.Through the introduction of the composer’s life,the synopsis of the opera "The Medium ",the relationship between characters and the research of the musical ontology of "Monica’s Waltz",the singing analysis and teaching exploration of "Monica’s Waltz" are carried out.This paper is divided into three parts: introduction,text(four)chapters and conclusion.The first chapter is the introduction of Menotti’s life,and a brief description of the opera " Medium " creation background,role relations and plot content;The second chapter focuses on the analysis of the musical form structure of Monica’s Waltz and summarizes the characteristics of Menotti’s creation.The third chapter combines Menotti’s creation characteristics and the relationship between the music and the drama script to analyze the vocals of Monica’s Waltz.The fourth chapter focuses on the teaching and research of Monika’s Waltz.The conclusion part is the summary of the overall research of the article.
