Texture Analysis And Performance Interpretation Of Debussy’s Piano Work "Tower"

Ahil Claude Debussy is one of the greatest composers from the end of the 19 th century to the beginning of the 20 th century.His innovation in musical vocabulary has greatly promoted the writing of post-tonal music in the 20 th century.Among them,the piano work Tower,as a mature work of Debussy’s piano music,shows his exploration of Oriental music,as well as his creative style of breaking through innovation and inheriting the tradition.In this work,texture form plays a crucial role in the development and balance of music.This paper mainly analyzes the music and performance interpretation of "Tower" from the perspective of texture form.The first part is an overview of Debussy’s piano music creation,and explores the causes of his creation techniques from the historical background of his piano work "Tower".The second part and the third part,as the focus of this paper,analyze the texture form of Debussy’s piano work "Tower" from the horizontal and vertical perspectives,to have a deeper understanding of the development of the piano work "Tower" and reveal the breakthrough of Debussy’s piano music in the traditional texture writing.The third part combines the texture form of "Tower" with the performance interpretation,and analyzes the key points dealt with in the performance process,so that the players’ interpretation of the piano work "Tower" in playing techniques and music style can more restore the intention of Debussy’s composition.
