Research On The Creation Of Prints With Rural Themes In Guizhou

In modern printmaking,the theme of rural areas has always been one of the themes of printmakers,starting from the emerging woodcuts,creators express rural life from different angles,languages and forms.It records real life and reflects distinct regional characteristics.This kind of theme has a unique form of expression in content and form,and is distinct to the times and regions.Taking the rural prints of Guizhou since the emerging woodcut movement as the research object,this paper first briefly elaborates the historical context,development status and era characteristics of rural prints in Guizhou in each period,and sorts out the creation status of rural prints in Guizhou in each period.Secondly,the performance characteristics of rural printmaking works in Guizhou are analyzed and summarized from three aspects: printmaking technique,formal language and main content.Finally,combined with the author’s own creation,he describes the creation process of the "Qianxiang Fireworks" series of prints,and through the experience and understanding in the creation process,he talks about his subjective feelings when creating the "Qianxiang Fireworks" series of prints,and further explains his understanding of the expression of printmaking with rural themes in Guizhou.
