The central Fujian Province (Minzhong area) is located on the joint of several tectonic units. It has one or more completed tectonism-magmation-mineralization processes and has superiority in forming large ore deposits. Ever since a period of time, many experts and researchers have carried out large amounts of work on ore prospecting and geological research in the central Fujian Province and adjacent area, but only a little achievement has been made on regional metallogenic regularities and mineral resources assessment. Such a research status has restricted the resources prospecting in this area. Meanwhile, no concrete predictive quantity of lead, zinc and copper, etc., resources has been provided till now.Relying on the project of Pb-Zn metallogenic regularities within the rift in the Minzhong area and using modern ore-forming predictive theory and GeoExp 12005 and MRAS, this study comprehensively analyzes the related ore-forming information obtained by geology, geophysical exploration, geochemical exploration and remote sensing. In addition, with the combination of field geological surveying, regional resources prediction and assessment has been conducted on the Pb, Zn and Cu polymetal deposits in the Minzhong area. The systematic analysis and research result on geology, geophysics, geochemistry and remote sensing shows that most of the ore deposits are distributed in the high value areas and periphery of bugar gravity abnormaly . The Pb, Zn deposits are mainly distributed in the positive magnetic abnormaly area and/or close to the boundaries between positive and negative abnormities. The contents of Pb, Zn, Cu and Ag have the maximal value in the Pre-Cambrian tectonic layers, while Cu and Au are in the lower basement (i.e. Mayuan). The Dongyan and Longbeixi Formations are the major ore-bearing layers of Pb and Zn molymetal ore deposits. The spatio-temporal distributive characters of Pb, Zn and Cu polymetal ore deposits in the Minzhong area has been systematically studied. The results show that the Pb, Zn and Cu ore field was distributed along several belts and some centralizing areas. The ore-forming ages has extended from Neoproterozoic, late Paleozoic to Mesozoic. Based on the above-mentioned, there will distribute several molymetal ore-forming prospective areas (belts) of Pb, Zn and Cu in the Minzhong area and it has larger ore-finding potential in this area.Using modern ore-forming predictive theory and GeoExpl2005 and MRAS, this paper have comprehensively analyzed the related ore-forming information of geology, geophysical exploration, geochemical exploration and remote sensing, and then have delineated 15 IV-grade prospective areas (belts) (including 35 V-grade belts) of Pb, Zn and Cu polymetal ore deposits, such as the Guancha-Fuyuan in Pucheng County, Bawaiyang-Dongyan in Jian'ou County, etc.It has been preliminarily predicted that the potential resources reserves of the Pb-Zn-Cu molymetal ore deposits in the Minzhong area by using geochemical block theory. That is: Au, 425.7 tons, Ag, 23.78 kilo tons, Cu, 17,168.2 kilo tons, Pb, 4396.6 kilo tons and Zn, 10042 kilo tons.
