| Promoting the harmony between human and nature is an important issue for China to build an ecological civilization society in the future.As the first demonstration area of ecological civilization construction in China,Fujian Province has received more attention from all walks of life for its coupling and coordinated development of population,resources environment and economy.This paper takes nine cities of Fujian Province as the research object,based on sustainable development theory,circular economy theory,coordination development theory and EKC theory.First of all,it explains the status of population,resources environment and economy development in Fujian Province;Secondly,this paper studies the interaction mechanism between the elements of population,resources environment and economy system;Thirdly,based on the comprehensive evaluation index system,a coupling harmonious degree model is constructed to analyze the coupling and coordinated development of population,resources environment and economic system in nine cities of Fujian Province;Finally,using the obstacle degree model,this paper analyzes the main factors that restrict the coordinated development of the population,resources environment and economy in nine cities of Fujian Province.Based on the above studies,the main conclusions are as follows:(1)Since 2010,the population’s number and comprehensive quality has been greatly improved in Fujian Province,but it’s still a serious problem that the imbalance of the gender structure of the population.With the development of Fujian’s economy,not only the living standards of residents have been greatly improved,but the urban-rural income gap is constantly narrowing.Although energy intensity and environmental pollution have declined due to technological innovation and industrial structure upgrade,the problem of resource shortage is still very serious.(2)From 2010 to 2018,the population,resources environment and economy system have developed rapidly in nine cities of Fujian Province,and the comprehensive scores of the three subsystems have improved significantly.From the perspective of spatial differentiation,it still shows a large spatial difference that the development level of subsystems in various regions.(3)The coupling degree of the subsystems is relatively high in nine cities of Fujian Province.Most areas have achieved high-quality coupling,indicating that the coupling of the three subsystems is relatively strong in most areas.(4)The coupling harmonious degree of the subsystems is maintained in the range of 0.373 to 0.721 in nine cities of Fujian Province.From the perspective of timing changes and spatial differentiation,it is quite different that the overall value of the coupling harmonious degree.According to the classification standard of coupling harmonious degree type,three types of coupling coordination could be divided in nine cities of Fujian Province in 2018: intermediate coordination(Fuzhou,Xiamen),primary coordination(Quanzhou),and reluctant coordination(the remaining cities).(5)Due to the spatial differences in the development of population,resources environment and economic subsystems in various regions,there are significant differences about the barriers factor to the index layer that restrict the coupling and coordinated development of subsystems in various regions.In general,among the system-level barriers factors that restrict the coupling and coordinated development of regional subsystems in 2018,the main barriers factor in the eastern coastal area is the resource and environmental factors,while the main barriers factor in the western area is the population factor.Based on the above conclusions,finally,suggestions are put forward,such as improving population policy,increasing research and experimental investment,strengthening pollution prevention,developing circular economy,strengthening regional cooperation and optimizing industrial structure,to promote the coupling and coordinated development of population,resources environment and economy system in Fujian Province. |
