In this paper, series of modified acrylic resin by organosilicon were prepared referring to the antifouling mechanism of marine lives. This work lays theoretical foundation for the preparation of long-term environmental fouling release antifouling paints. The studies and results are summarized as follows:(1)The work refers to acrylic resin as foundation material because of the superior properties and lower costs.Designed and synthesized a series of modified acrylic resin with lower surface energy. The infrared spectroscopy and Ubbelohde viscometer were used to detect the synthetic resin structures and molecular weight. The bulk and surface properties of the copolymers were characterized by IR, TG, and Contact Angle Analyzer, and the performance of resin and paints were studied by accelerating seawater test, salt solution immersion test and anti-algal activities. The results indicated that various kinds of acrylic monomer can be co-polymerized with the organosilicone monomer through controlling the craft parmaeters and based on the free radical solution copolymerization principle, and the contact angle between the film of the modified acrylic resin and water are 92°.The modified acrylic resin have simple and safe synthesis process, widespread raw material and broad application, which have widely application prospect as the substitute of toxic antifouling coatings. We used organosilicone modified acrylic resin as the matrix material and mixed them with the different kind of antifouling boosters, aid agents, pigments and solvents, synthesized low-toxic antifoulant with low surface energy. Inspirationally, there was about 10 months exposed to marine environment in growth season.(2) We synthesized a series of acrylic monomer containing HRA,*,* and PDMS-1,based on the RTV and RTVB resin. The modified copolymers and the surface properties were investigated by IR, Bio-fluorescence microscope, lazer scanning confocal Microscope, SEM and contact angle analyzer, and the accelerating seawater test, dissolution performance, anti-algal activities and anti-corrosion properties of resin were studied. Results showed that acrylate resin modified by polysiloxane had microphase-separated structure. This structure not only overcome the poor adhesion of polysiloxane, but also has lower surface energy. The existing of the 3-5μm pit, contact angles of the films can be significantly increased to as high as 111°±10°.Simultaneity, this work stimulated by releasing secretion from some marines, so added PDMS-1(*%,silicone oil) to simulated the "secretion", for the existing of the "secretion", the fouling organism were difficult to adhere stably. The work lays theoretical and application foundation of bio-antifouling coating.(3)Referring to the adhesion mechanism of marine lives, three types of antifouling have been considered by designed the series formulation coatings, that were'self-polishing property','environment-friendly property' and'lower-surface energy property'.Respectively applying technique flows A, B,GHB-B2c,and GHB-B2-4 to explored the process flows, and realized preparing targeting. Based on anti-algla testing and contacting angle analyzer to analyzed the multi-compound resin, showed that we have synthesized low-toxic, self-polishing and low surface energy antifouling paint, which obviously controlled the diatom adhesion. The results showed that, we have realized the stable self-polymerization of the functional monomer by changing the process flows, and enhance the ability of marine anti-fouling by micro-phase separation technology.
