The advance and development of mankind society is closely related to the usage of material. High polymers material is a new developing material in 20 centuries , three big kind of basic materials of high polymers are plastics, rubbers and fibers. High polymers and their composites have the special function Compare with traditional materials, and get more and more extensive application in each section of national economy and the national defence industry. In this dissertation, the mechanical and physical performances of the high polymers are analyzed, and the application technology and related theories in the weapon of engineering plastics, the special kind of protection rubber, high and strong organism fiber reinforced resin matrix composites are researched.Compare with metals material, engineering plastics are a sort of new type project structure material, and lack the complete theories method and data in design and choice of materials. In the dissertation's chapter 3 to chapter 5, the mechanical and physical performances of the engineering plastics are analyzed, the failure mode and the designing computing methods of engineering plastics member suffering the static load, dynamic load , impact load, pulse load, are studied. By the practice application and ball firing experiment of the engineering plastics key piece in the weapons , the precious experiences ,for engineering plastics application and confirmation of the material performances guideline in the weapons, are obtained.Rubber materials, containing large quantity's hydrogen chemical elements which can rise the valid protection function to neutron radiation, and having good molding technology and low cost, are used as interlayer of complex armor or inserts in domestic and international tank armor vehicles. The rubber insert's mechanical and physical performances and machining mechanism, particularly the dynamic mechanics frequency chart and the equivalent principle of time and temperature, are analyzed in chapter 6. The series tools of machining rubber inserts are researched and manufactured. Reasonable technology parameters, and measures for exaltation machining efficiency and quantity are determined by test. The rubber inserts machining technology has got applied in the new weapons.The high strength and low density organic fibers reinforced resin matrix composites are important armor materials recovering middle-small caliber kinetic energy projectile .cannonball broken rages and second effect inside tank vehicle , also are materials difficult to machine. Themechanical and physical performances and structure characteristics of fibers reinforced resin matrix composites are analyzed in chapter 7. Machining mechanism and machining technique of fibers reinforced resin matrix composites are researched, and techniques of machining holes have been applied in new type infantry chariots. High speed cutting, water jet machining and laser machining technology are applied to Kevlar fiber reinforced resin matrix composites and special kind rubber materials. Valuable conclusions are obtained by experimenting investigation in chapter 8.Textual research results provide technique supports for new material's spread application on the new weapons. Application of research results will possess important meanings for lightening the weapon and increasing integration protection ability of our country future tank armor vehicle etc.
