This set that can be used as an AC generator and welding inverter was driven by combustion engine, it's a kind of stand alone dynamic system that can generate, serve and consume electricity. We give a overlook of this kinds of sets and its related fields, its design scheme was disclosed, its model was setup, optimization and simulation study were implemented. The half-bridge inverter and its pollution to connected power distribution network were modeled and studied through simulation.The diesel engine driven generator has inverter as its load, mathematic model of speed control, field current and welding voltage control using PID, fuzzy or PID-fuzzy combined controller were set up for this system . Calculation methods for optimizing automatic control system using Genetic algorithms and Nonlinear Control Design blockset were offered. Simulation models were setup, dynamic characters were studied and analyzed while the system was running. Nonlinear Matlab simulation model of half-bridge inverter and its connected power distribution network were setup. The working process , dynamic character ,input voltage ,input current and their THD of welding inverter were analyzed through simulation, the same thing was done to current ,voltage and their THD and spectrum of neighbor Users . Dynamic response of representative electrical quantities when short circuit occurred caused by dropping of melded welding rod were shown in curves. Simulation results were testified through experiments. These models are effective methods for independent power system, diesel engine driven generator and welding inverter design and analysis aided by computer.
