Pattern formed by special molecules on the substrate is important insuch disciplines as supramolecular science, materials science,micro-electronics and cytobiology, from the scientific and industrialviewpoint. However, the self-assembly of block copolymer on atwo-dimension restricted surface is a better selection skill to produce thepattern structure. Controlling the solvents, solution concentrations and thespecies of assembly polymer, the pattern surface can be obtained. On theother hand, this method also offers a new research direction in assemblingregular structure at larger scale than nanometer. Block-polymer can formregular phase structure with a well-defined physical and chemicalregularity. And this method is also fresh feasible idea. Because the hydroxyl groups of Poly(4-hydroxystyrene) own strongassociation interactions within itself and with some other function groups, for the position of hydroxyls apart away from the main chain of blockpolymer, the block polymers containing Poly(4-hydroxystyrene) blockshow many special properties, at the same time, it also become anappropriate model to research the affection engendered by the cognition of - VII - - -四川大学博士论文hydrogen bond in polymer self-assembly system. As well known, theblock polymer with narrow disperse containing PHSt block could formmicelles and vesicles with some shapes in selective solvents, whereas, there were less other self-assembly modalities published except mentionedabove in solutions, even there had some new which all focused in polymerphotoresists field and the forming of patterns are on some substrates suchas metal film, silicon slice, polymer membrane and so forth. As for thepatterns, which are induced by the hydrogen bond on a two-dimensionrestricted surface (here we use is glass slide treated by special technique),have seldom been published by now. Under this direction, here the main workand conclusions come as follows: 1. A series of block copolymers with various PHSt block contentwere designed and synthesized. In this paper, block bipolymerPoly(4-tert-butoxystyrene-b-isoprene) (P(BSt-b-I)) and block terpolymerPoly(4-tert-butoxystyrene-b-isoprene-b-octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane)(P(BSt-b-I-b-D4)) were designed and successfully synthesized via anionliving polymerization initiated by n-BuLi. However, a well-controlledmicrocontent of polyoctamethylcyclotetrasiloxane (D4) block waspolymerized into P(BSt-b-I-b-D4). Determined by GPC, DSC, NMR andFTIR methods, the polymers' molecular weight were located in the rangeof 10,000-30, 000 and all the dispersions were less than 1.3. Afterremoving the tert-butyl from the poly(4-tert-butoxystyrene) block ofP(BSt-b-I) and P(BSt-b-I-b-D4), the physical scale and chemicalproperties of the polymer of Poly(4-hydroxystyrene-b-isoprene)(P(HSt-b-I)) and poly(4-hydroxystyrene-b-isoprene-b-octamethylcy--clotetrasiloxane) (P(HSt-b-I-b-D4)) were in accordance with theanticipated design. The experiment results were confirmed by GPC ANDFTIR methods. 2. The concentration of block copolymer in THF solution have great - VIII - - -四川大学博士论文influence on the pattern's shaping on a two-dimension restricted substrateafter investigating how the concentration of solution affect the patter 'sshaping of P(HSt0.53-b-I), a block bipolyme with a mole proportion ofPHSt block and PI block equals 0.53:1. So far as that was concerned, inthe higher concentration solution, which was as high as 50mg/ml or20mg/ml, and the lower concentration solution, which was as low as1mg/ml. Due to the fact that the interaction between the solvent and PHStblock and the association of PHSt block cannot mates well to reach a goodsituation, P(HSt0.53-b-I) could not form inerratic surface structure.Whereas, when the self-association and interassociation of PHSt block andt...
