In the paper, the author purpose to constitute the data model for process industry using the XML and using the Agent technology to constitute the task model for the process industry. The paper proposed an open information integration platform for the process industry based on XML and Multi-Agent. In order to consistent to the Internet technology, the Browser/Server model is used to integrate the platform and Internet.In order to realize the information integration, the data must be integrated first. For the process industry, especially for the process operation systems, integrating the data is difficult. There are two reasons. One is the data structure for the operation system is complex. The other reason is that there is a close relation between these data. It is hard to partition these data. Using the traditional database and STEP to solve this problem is difficult. The two methods can not meet the data integration request. The paper proposed a data model based on XML and STEP. The method can solve the above problem. The model is used to constitute the data model.Agent is fit for solving the complex structure system. The process operation system is a complicated, the relation between different sub-systems is also complicated. In order to express this complex relation, the paper proposed that using Agent to analysis the operation system and constitute the sub-system model using the Agent. Using different granularity Agent to express different function sub-system. XML is use to be the communication language between different Agent and XML is used to constitute the repository. On the above work, an open integration platform used for the process operation system is developed. At the same time, the different operation task is integrated. Another emphasis in this work is to integrated legacy. For solving this problem, a standard for interface is proposed in this integration platform. So the platform is open to the legacy.In order to consistent the integration platform and the networks, at last, the paper used B/S mode to realize the integration platform. The case HDA process is used to testify the integration between different task and the TE process is used to prove the integration of legacy.
