Gangue, a kind of solid waste material, is the most dangerous resource leading to mining enterprise environmental pollution. With the development of mechanization of mining industry and production capacity, the surface emission can increase greatly in number, which will result in more serious environmental pollution and surface subsidence. Thus mining enterprises will have to pay more for controlling and compensation. The selective crashing and separation system of the mixture of coal and gangue aims to fill gangue into gob after they have been separated. The technology can not only solve the problem of gangue surface emission but also remove the hidden danger of surface subsidence, so it can be considered as "green mining technology" . As a result, the experimental study on this technology will bring great economical and social benefit.This paper experiments with coal and gangue sample from raw coal in Duerping, Fenghuangshan, and Wuyang mines, conducts a research of crashing difference between coal and gangue, and of crashing separation.
