In 1960' s,George F.Fanta had succeeded in grafting copolymerization of polyacrylonitrile on starch in Northern Research Center,Agricultural Research Service,United States Department of Agriculture.He started a new research fields of super absorbent resin.Untill 1970' s,super absorbent resin had been industrialized successfully,and used widely in agriculture, horticulture, medical treatment and hygiene,especially in medical treatment and hygiene. These results have aroused the world' s interest to research.Many research workers at home and abroad, had done a great deal of study on super absorbent resin. On the basis of studying other' s scientific research,the author have made a thorough investigation and study on synthesis and properties of super absorbent resin with professor Huang Yuli guiding in this dissertation..The dissertation consists of following contents:1. Study on coplymerization kinetics of acrylic acid- sodium acrylate. The copolymerization kinetics equation had been established. First, the relative reactivity ratios of acrylic acid(r1)-acrylate(r2) were calculated by Fineman-Ross equation,Kelen-Tudos method and the error-in-variables method(EVM) of Mayo-Lewis equation. The composition of copolymers was analyzed by Infrared spectrum(IR). Then, Study the relation of composition of copolymer, instantaneous composition of copolymer and average composition of copolymer ,with the conversion of monomers. The results laid a foundation of the theory of copolymerization of acrylic acid-acrylate ,at the same time,fill in the gaps in the field of theoretical research of it.2. Study on synthesis of super absorbent resin Synthesizing super absorbent resin includes four systems:(1) In the system of copolymerization of acrylic acid-acrylate in inverse suspension.
