Being one of common and important organic acids, acetic acid and its derivates are widely applied to some fields, such as chemical industry, light industry, pharmaceutical industry, electrical and food industry. When α -H atom at acetic acid is replaced by the Cl atom, acetic acid is transferred into chloro-acetic acid, such as chloroacetic acid, and trichloroacetic acid.Over 10 types of preparation technologies have been used to synthesize chloroacetic acid, however, there are some drawbacks in those technologies. Till now, the research on the preparation of chloroacetic acid is still active around the world. In the traditional process, the catalysts are sulphur and anhydride acetic acid, while, the indeed catalyst is acetyl chloride. In the process of chlorination reaction with higher temperature, acetyl chloride is easy to be gasified and taken away by HC1, so the amount of catalyst is increased.The main step in the way to synthesize trichloroacetic acid is the deep chlorination of acetic acid. Normally, the reaction time is very long though some catalysts are chosen to shorten the reaction time. Finally, there are some shortcomings in this method, such as high cost, low effectiveness and high by-product.There are commercial technology and equipment used to produce chloroacetic acid, and trichloroacetic acid from acetic acid, while there are still being several disadvantages, such as high energy cost and low quality. So on the basis of previous researches, several researches, such as the technology and kinetics of acetic acid chlorination, the chlorination of acetic acid with crystallization, the chlorination of acetic acid with rectification and melt crystallization saperation between chloroacetic acid and acetic acid, were launched to explore the new production technologies of chloroacetic acid and trichloroacetic acid..The light can catalyze the chlorination reaction, and it is clean and easy to obtain, while dichloroacetic acid is obviously increased when the amount of chloroacetic acid surpass the certain value. So, the low conversion rate of acetic acid is required to restrain dichloroacetic acid when synthesizing chloroacetic acid, while trichloroacetic acid can be directly synthesized through the deep chlorination of acetic acid.In this dissertation, using the loop reactor with overflowing plate, the dynamic...
