Printing and dyeing industry in China is developing very fast, but the wastewater with large quantity has heavy pollution and its treatment is very difficult. The present state and environmental pollution of printing and dyeing industry are expounded in this thesis. The domestic and foreign actual state and shortages of disposal technology for printing and dyeing wastewater are analyzed. A new way using Coal-Water Mixture (CWM) technology to treat with printing and dyeing wastewater (PDWW) is put forward. In this paper, the exploratory slurry preparation tests were done by using refining wastewater, dyeing wastewater and first stage sedimentation tank wastewater with Liangzhuang coal sample. The effects of main contents inside printing and dyeing wastewater on CWM's properties were studied systemically. The slurries was prepared by using printing and dyeing wastewater and alkali decrement wastewater prepared in the laboratory, their pollutant emission properties are studied, and mechanism of desulfurization and denitrification are analyzed in detail. This study has got the feasibility of using CWM technology to treat with printing and dyeing wastewater, and also widened the researching field of CWM, which provides reliable theory bases and technology preparation for the application.
