The paper is based on the project"Online fast algorithm of finite element method in strip rolling",which is sponsored by National Natural Science Foundation of China and Baosteel, the project"Research on large-scale rolling generic", which sponsored by National Science and Technology Support Program, and the peoject"study on rolling process parameters of 1100 double stand reversble mill, which is sponsored CITIC Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. Numerical simulation technology and application in strip rolling process, combination of actual rolling process, are deeply studyed by means of finite element method and expriment, which can provide basic theory for study and optimization online set and control module in rolling process.The chief original work and results of this paper are expressed as follows:Based on energy-variational principle, a discrete block element model is established.So as to this model can be used in on-line control ,The effects of different parameters on shear deformation factors were studied using amount FEM calculations. Basing results, the model BP neural network model of shear deformation factors is established.Using the discrete block element model,the calculation of 5-stand continuous rolling using the model can be completed within 0.5 second with acceptable accuracy. This model was used in the project of the 1100 double stand reversible mill in CITIC Heavy Industries Co., Ltd, the good results. The good result were obtained.In order to deal with contact friction problem between the roller and plate, the friction element model of fast two-dimensional and three-dimensional elastic-plastic finite element model is established in strip rolling process, consideration of multiple non-linear. Study on element division for two-dimensional elastic-plastic finite element model, analyse the element number, element quality influence with the accuracy and computing time . Determined to adapt to on-line application for selected elements of rules and principles of element division number. To test the model, the author carried out a series of experiment on two-roll rolling mill, The results is near the measured value, production data and calculated result by large-scale finite element software. It's good fit to verify the model accuracy. It's very impotant for On-line high-speed algorithm for finite element, hot and cold rolling online set and study On-line control model to establish two fast FE model in strip rolling.Based on Marc secondary development, considering the action of friction medium between the roller and workpiece, realizing the promotion and application of friction element in large-scale FEM Software. Based on this theory, flexibility and rigidity of the roll of 2D and 3D elastic-plastic FEM models are established. In order to improve precision of the finite element model, the frictional element correction influence with calculation accuracy factor was researched, the reasonable rules and limits of Dual correction coefficient of the friction element was obtained. A comprehensive test experiments about plate profile and gauge are launched in a 300 reversible cold-rolling mill.In order to verify experimental parameters,2030mm and 1420mm cold rolling mills parameters,FE model with frictional layer is established and the rolling process is simulated .The results are anastomose essentially with the lab data, the correctness and adaptability of the model is verified.In order to study the pre-set in strip rolling process and on-line control model, based on actual parameters of the 1420 mm 6-stand cold rolling mill and the model which we study , FE model with friction layer is established in the strip rolling process , and plastic stiffness of rolled pieces in rolling process and characteristics of mill stiffness are deeply study ,the law of different parameters has been studied in detail.In order to study the mechanism of rolled pieces and rolls deformation in strip rolling, analysis of the strip/plat flatness and gauge control features, the finite element model integrated simulation system for strip/plat flatness and gauge has been developed, basing on Marc and using VB.
