Creating equivalent circuit model for power-ground planes is a basis of analyzing high-speed circuits and advance packages'power/signal integrity, minimizing the radiation, improving the circuit's stability. It is vital important for breaking the bottle-neck of high-speed electronic circuits.Supported in part by the International Science Technology Cooperation Program, Ministry of Technology (Grant Nos:2007DFA71250), this thesis focuses on hybrid field-circuit modeling method for high-speed electronic circuits. Based on the modeling method, the high-speed circuits'electromagnetic radiation and simultaneous switch noise are studied. Two methods for improving power integrity of high-speed electronic circuit are also proposed. The experiment and numerical results validate the proposed method's accuracy and efficiency. The main research achievements are as follows:1. This thesis presents an efficient and yet accurate modeling technique for analysis of the characteristic impedance of high-speed circuits based on the integral equation method. Based on the model, this thesis also presents the simulated results of the power-ground planes impedance with the effects of dielectric relativity permittivity, loss tangent as well as the geometric factor.2. Based on the impedance parameters of power-ground planes and the electromagnetic equivalent principal, the radiation model of arbitrarily shaped power-ground planes is obtained. The radiated intensity is calculated by equivalent magnetic current and free-space Green function.3. The hybrid field-circuit modeling method is presented. Firstly, the gapped power-ground planes are divided into parallel planes structure and slot structure. Secondly, two structures are modeled by electromagnetic field method and circuit method respectively. Finally, the whole model of power-ground planes is obtained by connecting these two equivalent circuits'common ports. Numerical examples reveal that this hybrid method is efficient and accurate, in comparing with the available methods.4. The model of multilayer power-ground planes is built. The multilayer power-ground planes is decoupled into signal trace, slot, via and parallel planes modes. These modes are solved by transmission line method, closed-form expressions and integral equation method, respectively. This model can be used to analyze high-speed circuits'power/signal integrity.5. Based on the hybrid modeling method, two solutions for improving the power integrity are studied. The SSN's time domain waveform is calculated by hybrid field-circuit method and vector fitting method.This research can be applied to high-speed circuits, advanced package modeling and electromagnetic analysis efficiently, and therefore provides the theoretic foundation for high-speed circuits design and manufacture.
