Daylighting is one of the most important part of school building design ,which has important meanings to improving lighting environment,the health of teachers and students'body and psychology, the test scores of the students, saving energy and protecting the environment .This thesis reguards the ordinary classroom daylighting as the main research object, after discussing the essentiality and the meaning of the daylighting, this thesis indicates the problems of daylighting in school buildings of China through field research and data testing and analysis. The author finds out the situation and evaluation of daylighting in classrooms by the form of questionnaire, and then draws conclusion that what kinds of classroom daylighting condition the students need.Based on this, the thesis proposes a new type of daylighting glass—Reflective Mirror Glass Panel(RMGP). The relationship between the ratio D/W and the RMGP's reflective effect is derived by mathematical calculations. The designers in any different latitude area can easily derive what kind of RMGP they should use for their areas through these mathematical calculations. In the final, the author verified the daylighting effects of the RMGP and reflective panel and their comprehensive applications by the method of scale model experiments, at the same time, the advantages and disadvantages of 16 kinds of daylighting programs are compared, which gives value and practical significance to the teaching building designers.The following are the main research works and achievements of this thesis: first, through field research and a large number questionnaires the problems of daylighting in school buildings in China and good daylighting effect in school buildings is analyzed and summarized;2) Proposed the concept of reflective mirror glass panel and its mathematical analysis;3) Verified the daylighting application effect of RMGP in school buildings through scale model experiments.
