Because of the increasing building energy consumption resulted by urbanization, the issue of energy saving has attracted government official and architect’s attentions. Based on the development trend in architecture types, this dissertation will investigate the illumination of office buildings. In office buildings, the artificial lighting account for 20%-30% of total energy consumption which is higher than the other types of building. Thus, the efficient use of daylighting can not only decrease the energy consumption caused by artificial lighting, but also release the tension mood and improve work efficiency.Mostly, the study of influential factors of artificial lighting in office buildings is qualitative. The dissertation will use the method of quantitative study by taking one of the office rooms in Hefei as the object of study followed by building the numerical simulation model within standard terms and conditions, the size of model for long 6m width 4m and height 3m. The research will mainly investigate the influence of daylighting opening design on the daylighting in office room. Based on the local light climate features and geography features, CIE overcast sky model can be used in Ecotect software to simulate and analyze the daylighting in office buildings, finally it is concluded that the daylighting factor with depth change curve diagram of the office buildings indoor working face. The main contents of this dissertation listed below:(1) According to the requirement of indoor luminous environment in office buildings and the meaning of daylighting research, the direction of research in this paper is found by the research summarized study on the present situation of daylighting in office buildings at home and abroad.(2) The study has setting a daylighting simulation model on the basis of daylighting theory.(3) By investigating the light climate features and geography system in Hefei, the study choose to use Ecotect software to simulative and analyze the impact of daylighting opening design in office building’s daylighting. Simulated under the window-wall ratio, sill, window shape and external shading the daylighting factor with depth change relations of the office buildings indoor working face, and the simulation results are compared and analyzed.(4) The study discusses realistic cases of the impact of daylighting opening design on the indoor daylighting in office buildings. Moreover, the Ecotect systems will be used to simulation and optimization daylighting rendering and the percentage of daylight factor in order to propose an optimized design scheme. The findings of this study listed below:(1) The higher in window-wall ratio, the better daylighting effect in office buildings will be. The still height and window shape on the indoor daylighting effect of the office buildings with different depth. For example, the window with lower still and long and narrow shape can get better daylighting effect within the depth of 1.2m, the depth in the range of 1.2~4.2m is on the contrary. After the depth of 4.2m daylighting effect is very poor, almost no light to enter.(2) Horizontal shading and horizontal louver shading can exert an impact on daylighting in office buildings. As to horizontal shading, indoor daylighting would be decrease along with the increase in cantilever coefficient. Thus, cantilever coefficient within 0.6 in horizontal shading designing. And the installation location of horizontal shading should be along with the window distance bigger is better. Horizontal louver shading adjustable range of slats angle is better within 0°~30°.(3) In architecture daylighting designing, the critical depth of building should be taken into consideration, normally can be set as 4.2 meter.
