This dissertation bases on the research of battlefield armored reconnaissance tank system, which is a very important reconnaissance & information reception means for our country's digital armored troops. The main content of this dissertation includes the design of battlefield armored reconnaissance tank system and the development of electrical sub-system of optical (type I) reconnaissance tank and information processing tank. In addition we have also done some research on the application of wavelet transformation-im.image compression.First in chapter l,we introduce the background of the battlefield armored reconnaissance tank system, discuss the structure of the whole system and electrical performance criterion. Then we discuss the electrical sub-system structure of optical (type I) reconnaissance tank, radar (type II) reconnaissance tank and armored information processing tank respectively.In chapter 2, the software design of color optical (type I) reconnaissance tank system and the development of the main modules are introduced. We propose a color system scheme to improve the original gray (black & white) system scheme, and redesign the system software, which improves the system tactics criterion largely. In the design of main modules, we discuss the development of image-grabbing card (CA6300), the design of the transparent menu, the JPEG compressing algorithm of color image, the electronic map and the information reception database. The color optical reconnaissance tank system has been rewarded first-class prize in 1999, and is now using in the military.In chapter 3, the Armored information processing tank system is introduced. It is composed of three parts: information reception sub-system, information processing sub-system and information sending sub-system. First, we introduce the main performance, module procedure flow and interface relationship of each sub-system. Then we discuss thesoftware design and performance criterion of information reception sub梥ystem, the development of. image梘rabbing card (CA桟PE?000), multi梥erial port communication, network communication among the sub梥ystems and the exploitation of ORACLE database. The Armored information processing tank system has been finished in July 2000, and will be manufactured soon.In chapter 4, we review some basic theory of wavelet analysis, including the wavelet transformation, multi梤esolution analysis and Mallat algorithm, then discuss the application of wavelet transformation in image decomposition and synthesis, and the distribute character of wavelet coefficient of image.Based on the wavelet transformation, we propose several image iossy coding algorithms in chapter 5. We research the algorithm of scalar quantization which fits the human visual model, and present tree character plane coding and duplicate tree coding algorithm. We use the duplicate tree coding algorithm into the battlefield armored reconnaissance tank system, and present a algorithm of color image coding. In the end, 憇tructrue matrix vector quantization algorithm is proposed.In chapter 6, the image lossless coding algorithm based on Haar wavelet transformation are discussed. The whole coding algorithm can be divided into three parts: lifle~t prediction, Haar wavelet decomposition and afterwards entropy coding .we also propose two afterwards entropy coding plans: adaptive aggregate partition coding and inter梑and prediction coding.Finally, a review for the research work of battlefield armored reconnaissance tank system and the image compression algorithm using wavelet is presented. Further research subjects both theoretically and engineerly are suggested.
