Up to now, the main means to simulate hydraulic engineerings are still restricted to physical or numerical models. With the development of economic and the gradually enlargement of engineerings, single physical or numerical model has its limitations in simulating the prototype. A new model technology is needed to suit to these conditions.Physical and numerical models have their own advantages and disadvantages. To meet the need of economy development, the idea of hybrid model with synthesizing the advantages of physical and numerical models was presented. Based on the idea, author realizes the hybrid model and explores the new model technology. The main contents of the dissertation include:1.General scheme of the hybrid model2.Choosing the finite difference approximation of numerical model part according to the characteristic of hybrid model and realizing it3.Deigning and realising physical model part arrnrHing to the- characteristic of hybridmodel4.Designing the hybrid boundary, and realizing the real-time coupling of the hybrid model5.Designing and realizing microcomputer sampling and controlling system hi software and hardwareThe main contributions are presented:1.Realizing hybrid model firstly hi China2.Get the coupling relations of tune and space between physical model and numerical model, ensuring the successive coupling3.Combining several control arithmetic, effectively resolving flux lag controlHybrid model has the advantages both physical and numerical models, especially for modeling huge hydraulic construction. On the basis of modern computer and measurement technology, hybrid model will widely be applied.
