Focusing on the spatial cam mechanism (SCM), the dissertation, starting with the practical processing and the characteristics of the structure and meshing, detailedly analyzes and experiments research the structure theory, processing error and, one-side process and profile inspection of SCM with spatial meshing principle and rotating transformation matrix operator methods.Processing principle of spatial cam (SC) is analyzed intensively. Combining with the present processing technology of SC, the author proposes a calculation method of profile error and gives an example to calculate each monomial error's influence and its laws on the normal error of cam profile. This method can be applied to any type of SC and solves the puzzle on the profile error calculation of the SC.Laying stresses on the control method of one-side processing, the dissertation puts forward a new cutting tool's control method of one-side processing, analyzes systematically its principle and solves the control puzzle in practice. A high precision SC can be processed even though the tool's radius is smaller than the roller's as applying this new method. The experiment has proved that this theory is correct, feasible and economic.The profile inspection of SC is studied detailedly. The author proposes anew contact point regress method which can be applied to any type of SC profile inspection by use of coordinate measuring machine (CMM), establishes a mathematical model for data processing and error evaluation method, solves the puzzles of the spatial cam profile inspection and error calculation.Analyze the SCM's structure and its meshing characteristics systematically. Based on the one-side processing technology, the dissertation proposes a new method of structure design and realizes the drive of SC by pure roller pairs of point engagement. This new drive mode apparently improves the driving accuracy, efficiency, life-span, movement and dynamic feature of SCM.The instantaneous meshing efficiency of SCM is studied. The dissertation puts forward the base circle's pressure angle method to calculate the instantaneous meshing efficiency of SCM, analyzes the factors affecting instantaneous meshing efficiency and further improves the design theory of SCM.Finally, based on the achievement of onc-sidc processing of SC illustrated above, SC has been processed successfully in the five-coordinate machine center and its profile error has been inspected by use of CMM. The result shows that this technology is correct and economic. Thereby, the theory proposed in this dissertation is correct and has important theoretical and actual value.
