As an important composition of green architecture system, green residential quarters are a kind of compound ecological system who includes society-economic-nature. The features of it are complex, muliti-factors and muliti-gradation. It bases on favorable circulation of ecological system (include nature and humane), aims at sustainable development, established foundation in harmonious relation of natural resources and cultural resources. It uses principles as biotic symbiosis, multiply transmission, circulation and regeneration of matter, combines with methods of systems engineering and achievement in various objects, according to environment of region and condition of resource (include nature and humane), stress optimizing and arrangement the function and construction of quarters. To make green residential quarters have dynamic adaptability on time, use a few investment to exchange maximum benefit, use green suitable technology as support, can self-organization, self-adjustment and self-maintenance, at the same time possess features like satisfied living demand, concentrated and harmonious, self-support and self-purification, without waste material and pollution, saving energy and land, continued context and so on. So it would achieve the aim that combined ecological, economical and social benefit together, becomes a sustainable development residential quarter. The design of green residential quarters have many aims, involved various territory as economic, society and ecologic, these aims related and interacted each other, decided the work to analysis and design the system have entity character, synthesize character and intersecting of various objects, but also have specific aim and various demands, these demands would take place contradictory sometimes, so it is important to have synthetic assessment overall, it's the foundation of selecting schemes and making policy.This subject from the maximum forward position of green residential environment construction theory which in view of environment ethics in sustainable development and ecological development pattern, with research and analysis of synthetic assessment in domestic and abroad and relative subject, through investigation on-the-spot and consults a number of documents in domestic and abroad, combines national conditions to have research go beyond the subject. Uses systematic design method as a tool, apply to combine soft and hard science, qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis together, give consideration to the coordinationdemands of ecological environment and social culture and economical effect, constructed an operational and comprehensive green residential quarters synthetic assessment target system. At the same time, annotation each target from muliti-objects view and determines more concrete and detailed assessment criterion. This synthetic assessment target system was affirmed by using in loess plateau new green residential quarters. At the respect of method of synthetic assessment, uses advanced mathematics method and computer programmers. So this kind of synthetic assessment is tight and scientific, it will be the basis to gain "non-inferior" scheme at stage of system analysis and selection optimize scheme at stage of system design, it also can be used to assess constructed green residential quarters, services with national economy battleground. In addition, our subject is a general synthetic assessment method and assessment target system construction of green residential quarters, then on the basis of practice of each country and region, through relevant adjustment of weight system in the assessment target system, reflect local flexibility and operational.
