Some new theory and methods of marshalling station CAD, which is based on the existing achievements, have been presented and used in the marshalling station CAD syatem in this thesis. The main accomplishments achieved in this thesis are described below:1. The optimal design model of the throat area of railway yard is established on the base of the network figure of the throat area analysed carefully. A few information of network figure of throat area can be identified and obtained automatically by computer .The method of automatic topology commutation of thorat area network figure is presented.2. The network figure of the plane of hump head can been chosen according to usual arranging rules. The plane arrangement of switchyard tail is also analysed concretly. The optimal design and topology commutation can been carried out automatically on the various types and scales of humps through using the comer increment method, the method of point intersection of trochoid and topology commutation method.3. The multi-objective function optimal model is established on the base of existing design theory and method of profile of hump. Fuzzy closeness analysis theory is used to reduce the blindness of the synthetic weighted method for multi-objective optimal design, and DFP algorithm is used to slove the model. The figures of profile of hump and velocity-time curve can been drawed automatically.4. The existing methods of positing fouling point and teleseme are introduced simply. The orbit equation of trochoid of the inside and outside widen on cure is established and the new method of calculating position of fouling point and teleseme is presented by describing the inside and outside widen on curve and building limit in the paper.The position of fouling point and teleseme can been calculated and drawed automatically in the marshalling station CAD system by applicating the method.5. The concrete content and significance of visualization of railway yard CAD system is presented. The method to divide the 3-Dimension entity of the yard into subentities at the varietal gradient point, to reconstract the 3-Dimension subentities according to the theory three vision figure and to reconstract finally 3-Dimension entity of yard by combining and intersection operation in AutoCAD software package is presented in this pqper.
