The dissertation forcues on the hydrograph modeling both theory and application technique. It includ rainfall-runoff computation, river flow modeling, real-time correction and the intelligence modeling in hydrology.By means of analysis for the hydrologic feactures in Karst basin, a Xinanjang Karst Rainfall-Runoff Mode (KXAJM) has been proposed, it can well reflect the hydrologic character stics of Karst region. On the river flow simulation, author derived a new formula to discribe Q-H loop curve. Based on the research a Sanxia River Flood RoutingModel (SXRFM) has been established, which can complete the Q , H computation simultaneously. The approaches of parameters identification for these models have been explore The new models proposed here are applied successfully in Changjang Sanxia sub-basins flow and Yangtze River flood forecasting.Furthermore, the intelligent approach of hydrologicalmodel has been studied. It involve intelligence talk-backwith computer, natural language (English) identification, comprehensive judgement mode, hydrograph modeling model and adaptive real-time correction model. The conceptions and algorithms of information exchange with computer in English talk-back, expression, quat±fication, acquirement and storage of expert experience in system are given According to these research, a intelligent expert consulting system used for hydrological forecasting has been developed. This sysirem can perform the hydrograph simulation and experience modification like a forecasting specialist with high reliability.
