Auto control is important to enhance management level and reduce energy consumption for building thermal systems and improve grain drying quality for grain drying process. Building thermal systems and grain drying systems are nonlinear time-delay coupled thermodynamic processes and considerable difficulty was meet when classical and modern control theories based on accurate mathematical model were used to control these plants. However, fuzzy control theory that can convert specialist knowledge into control rules brings new view for these complex systems control. Aiming at the common control characteristic, the paper adopt the way combining theory, experiment and real application to firstly studied fuzzy control rule auto-obtain method, then validate rule self-organizing fuzzy control method at radiator performance test-bed, finally the real application of fuzzy control for grain dryer was studied.Firstly, the current research status about rule self-organizing fuzzy control and the application of fuzzy control in building thermal systems and grain drying process were analysised, then the shortcoming was put forward and framework of the paper was set.Secondly, fuzzy control rules extraction method was studied. Aiming at Mamdani fuzzy control rule, rule self-organizing fuzzy control method based on adjustment rules was put forward. Then performance index was inducted into fuzzy control design process, and rule self-organizing fuzzy control method reference model was put forward. For those fuzzy controllers using T-S rule, a kind of T-S rule clustering obtain method based on matrix input was put forward, and the obtain process was illustrated by inverted pendulum model control simulation.Thirdly, radiator performance test-bed thermal system control modeling and rule self-organizing fuzzy control simulation were studied. The water supply temperature, radiator inlet temperature, test room temperature based on water temperature regulation, air supply average temperature and test room temperature based on air temperature regulation total five controlled processes transfer function were set.
