Research on paths between sources and flows becomes pressing and important during the development process of modern electric network. Because the power energy is based on the electric network, the paths between sources and flows reflecting the electrical supplying relationships should be analyzed deeply for assessing how the different sources and flows utilize electric network, and with which the power network expenses can be allocated reasonably and justly without dissension and contradiction. However, it is difficult to use existing methods to analyze the detailed electrical supplying relationship accurately especially there are some deficiencies of observing various electrical principles and laws in these methods. So a new method for analyzing the paths between sources and flows is needed to solve these problems.A new method called electrical dissecting method for paths between sources and flows in power network is proposed to satisfy the demands of research. This paper tries to analyze the detailed paths information between sources and flows based on the basic electrical principles and laws, and the electrical dissecting method can provide theoretical support for solving problems related to the paths between sources and flows.Firstly, five classes of electrical dissecting methods for paths between sources and flows are presented based on the definition of electrical sources and flows. This paper summarizes the basic principles and detailed rules of electrical dissecting method for paths between sources and flows, and discusses the problem of basic unit for electrical dissecting method. This paper presents a conclusion that the basic unit of electrical dissecting method for paths between sources and flows should be a union composed by both ac branch and bus instead of simplex branch or bus. And the problem for union of ac branch and bus is analyzed which provides theoretical basis for electrical dissecting method and corresponding applications.Secondly, three styles of union of ac branch and bus are studied for electrical...
