The structure reliability consists of three parts: safety, durability and serviceability. In the past, the safety of the structures has been paid more attention. But the researches on the durability and serviceability have lagged behind the needs of engineering practice. It will have a significant meaning to conduct extensive research work on the durability and serviceability of structures. The durability of the reinforced concrete structures, the reliability of reinforced concrete beams strengthened with steel plates and the serviceability of glass curtain wall are discussed in this paper. The main contents include as following:1. The model of concrete cracking induced by steel expansion and service load is established with Elasticity Mechanics. The relationship between the steel corrosion rate and the concrete compressive strength are discussed. The relationship between the steel corrosion rate and the concrete cover depth are also analyzed.2. Flexural carrying capacity of the corroded RC beam is proposed by considering change of bond strength between steel and concrete and the compressive steel corrosion. The computation methods are tested by the experiments data.3. The reliability of the reinforced concrete structure is studied in the whole life circle by considering resistance decreased. The influence of service environment, concrete cover depth and concrete compressive strength on the reliability is studied.4. The reliability index of reinforced concrete beam strengthened with bonded steel plates due to increased loads was calculated with First Order Second Moment.5. Serviceability index of frame supported glass curtain wall is calculated with First Order Second Moment. It is shown that the reliability index meets the demand of "General Principles on Reliability for Structures" .The results can service as a reference for the calculation of curtain wall and the revision of design code.In the finality, the problems requiring further studies are discussed.
