With the development of technology, the failure mechanism of structures earthquake is researched more and more. New aseismatic theories and constructions are developed. The researchers begin to consider the relationship between earthquake and dynamic characteristic of structures. The scholars devote themselves to research new aseismatic structure systems and bring forward the concept of structural control. The structural control and shock absorption of vibration are new region in civil engineering and intersect fields of many subjects. At present, passive control ,is researched with activity and the theory and examination research of passive control which involves absorption of vibration in super structure and foundation is obtained great development.Slab-column structure systems have many advantages, such as simple construction techniques, large headway structure, making the height of the floors and the total height of buildings much lower and reducing the cost of building.It is widely applied to actual projects. However, the mechanism of the slab-column structures under lateral load is still ambiguity and the application has more limits to aseismic design ,which limits the application of such structure in china.Firstly, the influence of engineering geological condition on building earthquake damage and earthquake characteristic on structure deformation are analyzed. It was mostly analyzed how earthquake factors(especially amplitude,vibration frequency and time of vibration) affect the structural nonlinear deformation. The procedure of development of aseismic theory is analyzed and summarized. A new design ideal which add soft supports made by slab-column structures to increase the ability resisting lateral load is proposed. On the basis of force behavior the loading the properties, the weakness and the aseismic properties of structure, the ability of resisting lateral load is proposed. Connecting with the structure using adequate method,the soft supports can increase the structure ductility , expand earthquake energy and increase the structure integrity. Firstly, the three storeys slab-column structures involving pure slab-column structures slab-column and sear wall structures and two kinds of slab-column structures using different soft supports are analyzed using the response spectrum analysis method and the seismic responses is obtained. And then compared with other slab-column structures alluded to above , the seismic response of multistory and high-rise slab-column structures using soft supports was analyzed. The initial conclusion that using soft support can increase the aseismic behavior of the slab-column structure is drawn.To understand better the dynamic behavior and mechanism of such structure system under load, two typical slab-column structures using soft support(one is add short support and the other is add large support) are adopted to proceeding,and then modal analysis, response spectrum analysis and time-history analysis using the finite element analysis software ANSYS. The numerical simulation results indicates that the dynamic characteristics and the internal force have been modified and redistributed because of the soft supports in structure .The aseismic potential of existing building can be better utilized and the aseismic behavior of complex structural systems can be improved accordingly. It is founded that the short support can reduced the relative and absolute displacement of the building effectively. However, it generates torsion in structure, which can be solved by adding shear walls in structures.Based on the current aseismic design ideas, along with the aseismic thoughts presented herein, the aseismic conceptual design ideal suitable for the slab-column structures is proposed. It emphasized that the capability of joints resisting shear, rational rigid and load–bearing capacity distribute and corresponding ductile slab-column structures, should be taken seriously, it emphasized to definitude the design object, accord with resist seismic principle and add more protected member as well.At last, the prepositional constructions suitable for slab-column structure were proposed ,according to the research achievements at home and abroad and conclusion herein.
