At present, there are many problems such as the coexisting of many differentkinds of control systems, the disable execution of remote monitoring and remotemaintenance, the difficulties of direct information exchanging and integration withindiscrete manufacturing enterprises, especially those middle size or small ones. At thesame time, the information in field area cannot be collected, processed and applied inreal time, which leads to the incapability of field control level to provide necessaryfield information for the information systems inside enterprises. The above problemshave caused the bottle-neck to advance the enterprise information system. A solutionfor Integrated Control of Numerical Control Device (ICNCD) in Manufacturing Cell(MC) based on industrial Ethemet was presented in this dissertation, which focus onthe key technologies and aims to promote MC's manufacturing and managementautomation level, and to realize efficient integration of management system and fieldcontrol system inside an enterprise. The main research work and achievements of thisdissertation are as following:1. According to the interface characteristics and control modes, the appropriatenetwork for ICNCD in MC was selected, as well as their inter-connecting solutions.The functions of ICNCD system in MC were analyzed, and the network framework ofICNCD in MC based on industrial Ethernet was proposed. The embedded gateway ofindustrial Ethernet was designed and tested.2. The framework, protocol model and function block of EPA (Real-timeEthernet for Plant Automation) protocol were analyzed based on OPNET Modeler.The specialized simulation model of EPA was exploited; the simulation model forICNCD system in MC and the simulation platform based on XML (eXtensibleMarkup Language) technique and OPNET Modeler were established; the applyingmethod was presented through simulating and analyzing an instance.3. Some researches were done on the information process technology of ICNCDsystem in MC based on industrial Ethemet, which included information categorizing,collecting and transmitting. Based on analyze of characteristics of information, thecategory method based on S95 was proposed and done. The information collectionmethod adapted for ICNCD in MC was investigated. Integrating EPA protocol andOPC technology, a new information transmission strategy for ICNCD system in MC was proposed. Finally, an implementation scheme of an instance was present.4. The scheme for developing prototype system of ICNCD system in MC baseon industrial Ethemet was proposed by utilizing function block technology andanalyzing control characteristics. Parallel transaction was adopted forintegrated-control strategy, and the scheme was proved validly through the analyzingtime characteristics. The scheme for construction Of function blocks of ICNCDsystem in MC was proposed, and the framework of the prototype system wasconstructed. A development approach for ICNCD system in MC based on industrialEthernet utilizing UML and function block technology was presented.5. The dynamic control method for the quality control of working procedure ofdiscrete manufacturing process was investigated under the integrated controlcondition based on industrial Ethemet. The dynamic implementing strategy for thequality control of working procedure in discrete manufacturing process was proposed,which aims to explain the application of ICNCD system in MC based on industrialEthemet.
