The new manufacturing mode of Manufacturing Grid (MG) put forward in this paper has brought new opportunities for the development of manufacturing and advanced the rapid development of the informatization of Manufacturing Industry. Then MG has become the land mark of developing course of manufacturing industry.With the rapid development of science technology and the rapid spread and application of information technology, the modem advanced electronic product manufacturing industry, represented by the Surface Mount Technology (SMT), has become the most important part of modem manufacturing. And China has become the global manufacturing center of SMT product.However, because the manufacturing technology of SMT product is so new technology and risen late in my country, the problems such as obsolete manufacturing mode and imbalance of region which are not adaptive to the rapid development and important action of SMT product manufacturing exist. So the rapid development of SMT product manufacturing is restricted. Based on the idea of MG and the characteristic of SMT product manufacturing, the application of MG technology in typical industry is carried out, and this application has become an important method of broken through the restricted problems.Based on the idea described above, the concept of SMT Manufacturing Grid (SMT-MG) was brought forward in this paper. In allusion to the SMT product manufacturing industry, a public, uniform and standard grid platform was established for the resources sharing, cooperative work and dynamic scheduling from the structure of SMT-MG, the describing and packaging of resources, service management and assignment management and so on. And it provided the effective supporting environment for the remote collaborative manufacturing of SMT product. Then the purpose of reducing manufacturing cost, improving the resources utilization rate and fast time to market.In the paper, the conception, category and its manufacturing course of SMT product manufacturing system were analyzed firstly, the similarities and differences between the SMT product manufacturing and traditional manufacturing, then the conception, connotation and its characteristic of SMT-MG were put forward. And the sufficient condition, necessary condition and conditions for steady of forming SMT-MG were studied. At the same time, the conclusion of objective inevitability of SMT-MG appearance was pointed out. Combined with symbiotic theory from biologics, game theory from economics and evolvement efficient cause and mechanism of systems, the theoretical basis of SMT-MG forming was analyzed.Based on Open Grid Service Architecture (OGSA) structure and manufacturing grid technology, the five layers SMT-MG structure was brought forward and analyzed in detail, the macro & micro organization mode and its characteristic of SMT-MG were studied, and the operating mechanisms and phases operating flow for SMT-MG were analyzed.After analyzing the management requirement of SMT-MG resources, the triangle resource managing connecting form and its structure system were brought forward. By classifying the SMT product manufacturing resource, its formalization description was researched, and the SMT-MG resources template and template tree facing criterion resource management were analyzed, and the SMT-MG resource describing method based on Resource Description Framework (RDF) was built up. Simultaneity, the SMT-MG resource packaging technology and its service group model based on Web Service Resource Framework (WSRF) was studied mostly. And by packaging the manufacturing resource to service, the resource heterogeneity, complexity and diversity were shielded effectively, and this provided the basis supporting environment.The SMT-MG service management technology was studied fully. In allusion to the memorizing and communicating for information, the grade negotiation description based on Web Service Level Agreement (WSLA) was researched, and the Service-Level Agreement (SLA) fuzzy evaluating strategy based on rolling contract was brought forward. Aimed at service provider's resource reservation decision-making, the SMT-MG fuzzy resource reservation acceptance controlling strategy based on SLA was put forward. At the same time, the SMT-MG service supervising and controlling model were put forward, facing the information communication, the SMT-MG service informing mode based on Web Service Notification (WSN) was analyzed. The SMT-MG intelligent informing agent technology was studied and obtained. Then the steady operation of SMT-MG was obtained by the STM-MG service management.The problem of task management in SMT-MG was studied fully, the model of task management of SMT-MG was established, and the task of SMT-MG was formalized description. The task description language facing the task submission was studied and analyzed. SMT product manufacture task decomposition method based on the BOM-time and Petri-net was established. The SMT-MG resource scheduler request distribution and choosing model based on the random advanced Petri-net was investigated mostly. And the SMT-MG task management technology provide a new method for difficult problems of SMT product manufacture task decomposition and layout, resource choice and schedule and so on.Finally, based on the GTK4.0 grid middleware, the flame of the SMT-MG platform was established, and module function and the relation between them was analyzed, the studying content of this paper was exploited and realized. A large number of valuable experience and data were obtained through examination application, all these can establish the stable foundation to perfect and extend SMT-MG.
