Study On Analysis And Integration Of Urban Recreation Space

Urban recreation space is an important part of a city. Its development not only is the reflection of urban society, economy and culture, but also will influence the evolution of urban space. Along with the development of society and economy, growth of urbanization level, increase of leisure time, and strengthening of consciousness on people's living quality, urban recreation space research and construction become more urgent. So, how do we know and understand recreation space? How do we reasonably plan and construct recreation space? This not only is the demand of urban planning academics development, but also is the historical mission which the society requests. Under this background, starting with the systematization of the urban recreation space research, this dissertation tries to understand urban recreation space completely by integrating theory with practice, and then puts forward integrative frame to solve problems.Based on the systematic idea, the dissertation studies urban recreation space mainly from the viewpoint of urban planning & design, crossing disciple, macroscopic level, and regards the research results from the other various viewpoints as references. Making use of systematic theories, urban space theories, economical theories, recreational theories, the environmental behavior theories...etc., this dissertation generally analyses the structure, evolution, quality of urban recreation space. Based on the above analyses, aiming at various problems of urban recreation space planning and construction in China, the dissertation puts forward the views of value orientation, integrative mechanism, integrative pattern and integrative method. Taking Chongqing metropolitan area as an example, the author connects the analysis with the integration of urban recreation space. Firstly, the author clarifies the meaning of the research, the relevant concept, the progress of the domestic and international research, the process of the thinking, the method of the research, and the related theories of urban recreation space. Secondly, the author focuses on the analysis and integration of urban recreation space.The analysis of urban recreation space includes:①Analysis of the structure. Based on the understanding of"structure"concept, this part emphasizes the types, structural system, structural pattern and structural characteristic of urban recreation space, and the purpose is to know"what is urban recreation space?"from the viewpoint of space.② Analysis of the evolution. This part mainly studies motive, mechanism, law and pattern of evolution of urban recreation spatial structure, and puts forward ideal"center-group-sector-ring"spider's structural pattern, and the purpose is to know"what is urban recreation space?"from the viewpoint of time.③Analysis and evaluation of the quality. Based on the analysis of the recreational activity supporting system, the recreational image, and the recreational management that constitutes the urban recreation space quality, the dissertation sets up an evaluation index system of urban recreation space including 3 of the first grade indexes, 11 of the second grade indexes, and 84 of the third grade indexes. The author makes quantitative analysis and evaluation of urban recreation space quality: A case study of Ciqikou traditional historical street area in Chongqing. The purpose is to show"what is the best urban recreation space?"from the viewpoint of the quality.The integration of urban recreation space includes:①Value orientation on the integration. Aiming at some current problems about the development of urban recreation space in China, and being inspired by《Beijing Charter》, the dissertation puts forward the meaning of the integration. The value orientations on integration of urban recreation space are to maintain the justice, pursue the efficiency; keep the urban memory, perform the present spirit; take the recreational demand as leader, take the product and image as foundation; develop economic, protect ecosystem. The purpose is to know"why need to integrate urban recreation space? What is the meaning of the integration? What are principles of the integration?"②Category of the integration. According to the viewpoint of the integration level, the dissertation studies the planning and controlling indexes and contents of integration of urban recreation space from macroscopic level(master planning), medium level(regulatory detailed planning) to micro level(constructional detailed planning). According to the viewpoint of the whole city, the dissertation discusses the integration of urban recreation space with the building around, integration with urban traffic, and integration with urban natural environment; According to the viewpoint of the single urban recreation space, the dissertation analyzes the integration of the function, the integration of recreational resources- recreational product- recreational image- recreational market, the integration of the history and reality, the integration of the artificial factors and natural factors, the integration of urban recreational physical space and urban recreational behavioral space. The purpose is to know"what is the content of integration?"③Mechanism and pattern of the integration. The dissertation analyzes economic mechanism, cultural mechanism, ecologic mechanism and managerial mechanism using the space development pattern in regional economics; the author puts forward such patterns of the integration as single growth pole, multiple growth pole, growth axis, growth pole-axis, steps degree and network. The purpose is that to know"What is the mechanism of integration? What are the patterns of integration?"④Methods and countermeasures of the integration. According to the viewpoint of urban planning & design, the dissertation inquiries into such integrative methods as integration with ecology, humanity, market; According to the viewpoint of management, the dissertation inquiries into such integrative countermeasures as making best of function-structure of urban recreation space system, enhancement of urban recreation space planning, establishment of recreational land store system and post occupancy evaluation, integration of recreational industries, control of recreational time, control of urban traffic and control of the management; The author puts forward the procedure of integration of urban recreation space: analysis of the structure, analysis of the evolution, evaluation of the quality, scheme of integration, evaluation of the influence, practice of the decision. The purpose is to know"how is urban recreation space integrated?"⑤Taking Chongqing metropolitan area as an example, the author puts forward the scheme of integration: such spatial structure as"1 center, 2 rivers, 3 rings, 6 sectors, 7 mountains, 26 groups", on the foundation of the analysis of structure, evaluation and quality of integration of urban recreation space in Chongqing metropolitan area. By using the above example, connecting the analysis with the integration of urban recreation space. Particularly, 5 types of urban image factors which K Lynch put forward are subdivided, and converted into place image factors, the author makes quantitative analysis and evaluation of urban recreation space quality in Chongqing metropolitan area, according to the impression degree, better quality and worse quality, by the method of combining questionnaire together with inquisition, and the usage of basic theories of statistics and the SPSS software.Finally, the author summarizes the research, and makes a self-estimate on the value of this dissertation, gives an expectation to it, and puts forward the major development fields:①The establishment of the theory system about urban recreation space;②To perfect the reasonable category system of urban recreation space;③Integration urban recreational physical space with urban recreational social-economic space;④To study on urban recreational social-economic space;⑤The coupling mechanism between urban recreational physical space and urban recreational social-economic space;⑥The technology-economy indexes system of urban recreation space planning and construction;⑦The approach to integration of urban recreation space;⑧The management of urban recreation space.
