In company with the development of national economy and the rising of the people living standard, steel structure residential construction is acting a new orientation in our country. The staggered truss structure with rectangle concrete filled tube column building can satisfy the needs of people, which is a perfect residential construction system. In this research, we study elastic and elasto-plastic of the staggered truss structure with rectangle concrete filled tube column and hysteretic behavior of mix form truss. Overall, the conclusion of this research has the practical means and theory guiding effect for the concrete engineering.This research designs twenty-seven structure models of the staggered truss structure with rectangle concrete filled tube column by ETABS computer software. Firstly, the author makes computation of twenty-seven elastic models under vertical or horizontal load by ANSYS finite computer software, after that processes these dates and advances a new way for these structural members' internal force computation. The design engineers may compute the staggered truss structural members' internal force by this way at the initial design stage. Further more, the author makes computation of twenty-seven elastro-plastic models under constant vertical and gradual increasing horizontal load by ANSYS finite element system method. Depend on the data analysis, we know the failure mechanisms, weak part of the staggered truss structure with rectangle concrete filled tube column, and then we analysis the effect factors (building story, bay length, span, truss spacing number, ratio of length-highness, ratio of length-width, ratio of highness-width ) on the structure elastro-plastic behavior. The author figures out that the staggered truss structure system with rectangle concrete filled tube column has outstanding elastic and elastro-plastic performance, development of plastic is sufficient, ductility is preponderance. This structural system is fitting in with the design demands of our country. Finally, the author makes a structural horizontal limit bearing laboratory test to the two bays-three stories the staggered truss structure with rectangle concrete filled tube column 1/3 reduced scale model specimen.The study about hysteretic behavior of mix form truss shows that hysteresis curve of the seven-space truss is full, and plastic deformation development is sufficient. After that, the author analyses the effect factors (truss spacing number, sectional dimension of vertical brace member, sectional dimension of diagonal brace member, sectional dimension of chord member, sectional dimension of column member ) on the truss structure hysteretic behavior.This research comprehensively and systematicly analyses the elastic and elastro-plastic behavior of the staggered truss structure with rectangle concrete filled tube column and the hysteretic behavior of the mix form truss. The conclusion and the design proposal have the significant meaning and consulting value for both engineering design direction and related regulations, furthermore, provide basis for further study of the staggered truss structure with rectangle concrete filled tube column.
