A Study On The Ideas Of Body Upon The Architectural Morphology

The contemporary thinking is changing from seeing material as central to people as central. And the essence of architecture would therefore be the humanistic essence. The ontology of humanity impels people measuring the beings under the frame provided by human being. Body is the main material element consisted of a man. And all sense of a man can only be achieved through the body. From this angle, caring for human is caring for the body.Since the 1980s, the body, which was ever easily neglected, has attracted people's more and more attention along with the rapid development of global consumer culture, science and technology. If Architecture wants to consider"the humanity world", it has no alternative but to pay attention to the contemporary humanity's body phenomenon.Human body is playing different role in different times. In the primitive society, what's the role the body played when mankind constructed the deep psychological structure to form the archetype? How was the body treated in traditional architecture? Where will the body go in contemporary world? Finding these answers is the original intention of this thesis.Traditionally, it is an important affair to face the position of the body and examine the architecture and society phenomenon brought by the body from the ideology and society level. Under this line, this thesis tries to study crossing the branch of learning, and analysis the representative work of history.This thesis lists the corresponding relations between the body and architecture from all levels based on the body view transformation and reflection on the architecture, and goes deep into the classical documents to comb the thinking of body and mind closely. It raises the concept of"the Body of Schema"to explain architecture phenomenon and explores and understands the deep meaning of the body view in architecture design. It analyses the relation between the alienation in the architecture design and the body embodiment, and the application of the idea of the body on the architecture design. This is to try to understand the position of the body in the objective world clearly, thoroughly and dialectically and to know the value of the body deeply. This thesis also puts forward the target of constructing the Body Architecture, hoping to cast off the simple imitation on the traditional building and to explore the architecture morphology according with the condition of our country and being full of traditional idea. This aims to understand and concern people closely, and create the Body Architecture with Chinese character basing on native, true and human-centered thinking.
