Water supply network is an important basic provision for supporting and ensuring the economic development and people's life.With the rapid development of social economy and expansion of city scale,water supply network becomes lager and larger,causing higher requirements for its management.As network management involves many aspects and several kinds of information,using one software system,such as GIS and SCADA system,can not obtain overall monitoring and controlling,never to say manual management.Therefore,only using computer with network simulation methods can implement scientific management for design,construction and maintenance.According to the design principles of correlative software systems,a solution scheme is proposed by taking advantage of up-to-date advanced component technology,database technology and network modeling technology.That is developing a comprehensive software system based on network simulation and SCADA system,with the methods of hydraulic calculation,state simulation and burst detection and early-warning through database,VCL and Windows API.This software system has the functions of static and dynamic management and can make a great effort to the implementation of scientific, digital and intelligent management on water supply networks.The simulation and management system of water supply networks based on SCADA system is divided into three subsystems:design and planning subsystem,real-time simulating and controlling subsystem and information management subsystem.Each subsystem is composed of several function modules.In this paper the whole system is described and developed in detail from several aspects,such as research background and current state,technologies for software development,requirement analysis,overall designing and function implementation and so on.(1) Based on the detailed analysis of system requirements for business and functions,the aims and developing mode are proposed;the construction of digital layer, logical layer and interactive layer is adopted and the whole system is divided into design and planning subsystem,real-time simulation and controlling subsystem and information subsystem;the system database is composed of five sub-databases and all the tables in each sub-database are established as well.(2) Design and planning subsystem is divided into four modules of graph operation, hydraulic calculation,data management and file operation;the functions of network drawing,modeling,hydraulic calculation,results' output and data management are developed by using Delphi VCL,Windows API and database technology.(3) The incident matrix,basic loops,coefficient matrix of hydraulic equations can be identified by the methods of coordinates' recognition,district dyeing,polygon area calculation;the method of pressure similarity coefficient is proposed to get the optimal distribution of pressure measurement points;DFP algorithm is proposed to obtain the solution of state simulation and it is applied to the networks with different scales for precision analysis;the codes of heuristic genetic algorithm are programmed for the optimal distribution of flow rate measurement pipes.(4) The main interface and other module interfaces of real-time simulation and controlling subsystem are established by using several VCL components;according to the mathematical methods of optimal distribution of monitoring stations,state simulation and burst detection,the corresponding codes are developed through GUI programming, Windows API,TTimer component and database technology.(5) Based on the description of function requirements and tasks of information subsystem,the logical structure is divided into human-computer interface layer(overall control),application layer and information support layer and the function modules are composed of database management,database operation and inquery and statistics;the functions of data investigation,editing,saving,dynamic inquery and statistics are implemented through ADO technology and SQL language.
