Study On Water Distribution Network Management Information System

This paper analyzed the process and characteristics of the municipal water supply network management, based on the researches inland and overseas. Water supply network management system analysis and the choice of computer system were based on the analysis above.Municipal water supply network management information system was built in the field of water supply. This system has many functions, including scientific management, reformation of management mode, and synthetical use of plenty of management information occurring during the operation of the company. Based on the development of computer network, management database and credible information communication system have been built. And these help managers decreasing repeated tasks and artificial mistakes and improving veracity and dependabilty of decision-making.Client ? Server structure was adopted by this system. Via the exchanging visits of the client and server through the LAN, communication connection and all data information sharing can be achieved every department.The opening, integrality, supporting visiting of different database and in favor of manager using were taken into account during the choice of the database.Firstly, the standard of data collection, process and storage was built through the communicating with every department during the course of research and exploitation. At the same time, communicate with the people who use the databse, nail down the problems going to be solved by the database, describe the report forms from the database, collect the tabulations which are used to recording data, and so on. Secondly, the management module of system, scheme, budget, project, material, finance and statistic were developed according to the flow of operation and data and requirement of every department.Thirdly, the water supply network management information system was testified by using a large number of real data and was proved to be practical.
