The space-time conservation element and solution element(CE/SE)method is a new CFD method for hyperbolic conservation laws.The CE/SE method differs substantially in both concept and methodology from the conventional methods.Its particular features include a unified treatment of space and time,high-resolution,robustness and accuracy. Pulse detonation engine(PDE)is a novel engine which produces periodic impulse by utilizing repetitive detonation.PDE has expansive foreground in application of army and civilian because of its advantages in hardware simplicity,thermodynamic cycle efficiency, low fuel wastage and wide working scope.It maybe become new power device in this century.In this dissertation,according to the theory of conservation element and solution element(CE/SE),one-,two-and three-dimensional numerical methods are induced to calculate the flow field inside and outside PDE.The corresponding numerical calculation programs have been made,and the characteristics of the flow field in PDE have been attained.The main contents of this dissertation are as following:(1)The one-dimensional CE/SE method is induced to calculate the flow field inside PDE. The corresponding numerical calculation program is made.Through analyzing the results,the effect about the fuel filling coefficients and several different nozzles to pulse detonation engine performance have been obtained;(2)The two-dimensional inviscid CE/SE method is induced to simulate the axis-symmetry,inviscid flow field inside and outside PDE.The corresponding numerical calculation program is made.The characteristics of the interior and external flow in PDE have been attained;(3)The two-dimensional viscous and turbulent CE/SE methods are induced to simulate the axis-symmetry,viscous and turbulent flow field inside and outside PDE.The corresponding numerical calculation programs are made.The characteristics of the viscous flow in PDE have been attained;(4)The math and physics models about multi-tube pulse detonation engine are established. The three-dimensinoal inviscid CE/SE method is induced to simulate the inviscid flow field outside multi-tube PDE.The corresponding numerical calculation program is made;(5)The three-dimensinoal viscous CE/SE method is induced to simulate the viscous flow field outside multi-tube PDE.The corresponding numerical calculation program is made,the characteristics of the viscous flow outside multi-tube PDE have been attained;(6)The one-and two-dimensional CE/SE methods based on courant number insensitive scheme(CNIS)are induced,and the methods are validated by the shock problem and oblique shock reflection problem.Then the CNIS methods are used to simulate the folw field inside and outside PDE successfully.
