Bionic camouflage pattern(BCP) and biology filter were presented in this paper.Researches on digital camouflage pattern(CP) design and virtual camouflage scene were carried out, subjective and objective assessment methods of camouflage effectiveness were improved and optimized.These works led to a novel system of BCP design.Firstly,significance and urgency of BCP were emphasized.The analysis of CP development showed that biology was the origin and propulsion of CP,from which the departure resulted in difficulties at present.Secondly,digital technology of BCP was developed.Based on bionics keystone,we presented biology filter,through which biology camouflage characteristic was introduced to CP design.Biology filter could tell us how to imitate.And then,the following four problems were resolved carefully:According to modularization thinking,biology camouflage characteristic was quantified to a model of biology filter.And followed this newly idea,parameter optimization and complex design were discussed in detail,and a new biology filter database was founded.In this process, several relative new concepts,such as camouflage cell,abstract camouflage cell and dark brightness rate,were created.In the reaearch of CP digital design,we created three words:clustering,finishing operation and multi-value mathematic morphology.In order to improve clustering speed,we presented improved K-means clustering arithmetic on initial centroids selection and pixels partition rule.In finishing operation,close operation and(2 0 1)(0 1 2)(1 2 0) color group were determined,which optimized the similarity between CP and background.With three dimensions animation and virtual reality technology,a platform for virtual camouflage scene based on Vue and Python was built.Key technologies including model database optimization,ration control,great area vegetation distributing and CP virtual spraying were discussed,then a virtual camouflage scene was founded by Yue-lu mountain,located in western Changsha,the capital of Hunan province.This platform could not only expediently simulate varying climate and weather,different orientation,angle,distance and visual field,but also effectively simulate dynamic scenes such as a sign of disturbance or trouble,object movement and missile approach.It's in deed the first digital platform specialized for virtual camouflage research.Considering BCP digital design,we determined that subjective assessment was primary and objective assessment was secondary to the camouflage effectiveness.Lickert Scale with 5 classifications was instead of the original detection probability,and the presicion was improved. The research work in this paper was wholly originality in the camouflage field,and its results were valuable in research methods and technique route for BCP,also for the sequence data expansion.
