With the increasing awareness of water resources crisis, water-saving has become China also the world's strategic objectives. Water recycling is an important way of saving water. Key equipment, cooling tower is receiving increasing attention to the study. In the learning period, the author studyed the cooling tower theory deeply, inspected and collected a large number of cooling tower of Chinese and foreign literature, analysed of cumulate data and the measured result of the industrial tower systemly and put forward his point of view on the key point about the tower efficiency and investment---- water distribution,aerodynamics, pyrology. the optimized structure of the cooling towers was put forward and it has been verified successfully in engineering practice.Water distribution in the cooling tower design: on the calculation of water distribution the distributary formula was introduced which accords detter with the cooling tower water distribution patterns. the cooling towers of water-allocation method was given based on the calculation method of the resistance alang the way in uniform water distribution, the calculation method of the distributary resistance coefficient and the pressure conversion theory of Daniel Bernoulli equation. It can accurately calculate the distribution pipe diameter, can calculate the pressure and flow before each Nozzle one by one.So the largest and minimum flow of nozzles can be controlled, the uniform distribution and water distribution pressure can be achieve.The aerodynamics in the cooling tower: after a comprehensive analysis of the aerodynamic characteristics of all components of the cooling towers, the quantitative formula and the qualitative cognition which is more realistic was given. the aerodynamics calculation formula was put forward where the norms and manuals and other relevant information omit or neglect . With the analysis of fan characteristic curve features, the curve fitting way which is suited to its characteristics was given and it can accurately complete the aerodynamic calculation and provide a theoretical basis for the optimization of aerodynamic measures of the cooling towers.The pyrology in the cooling towers: the author analysed the impact of various factors for the cooling tower, defined the factors that Thermal methods of general filling include, presented the calculation method which is not included the factors , proposed amendments required in the pyrology equation when using conditions and test conditions are different and at the same time proposed the amendment principle and method. The author also raised the relationship between the height of the filling and the thermal properties, the resistance, provided a theoretical basis for pyrology performance optimization of the cooling tower.Based on the theoretical analysis of aerodynamics, pyrology and water distribution, the optimization measures was presented on practical cooling tower design, operation and the precise cooling tower program was worked out to achieve the objective of high efficiency, energy saving, water-saving and secure. The anthor issues hie view about the timing,frequency conversion and preventing frostbite which are generally concerned in northern areas. Hope the cooling tower technology play a bigger role in the establishment of a saving society, in efficiency, energy saving, environmental protection.
