Castanopsis Kawakamii Hayata is a proper precious and endangered plant on the southern boundary of the mid-subtropical region in China. The scope of its natural distribution is limited, which is about 700 hm2 in Natural Reserve of Fujian Shangming is rare at home and abroad. Its urgent matter for the protected C.kawakamii population is to reveal many causes of C.kawakamii population endangered. This paper is a report about studies on structure and dynamic rule of C.kawakamii population in space and time, kinds of ingredient relationships influencing population dynamics and the internal causes analysis on dynamic rules of C.kawakamii population using methods of mathematics ecology, plant ecological field theory and computer technology. It is not doubt of great significance of theories and practice for the research that can provide some scientific theory references for inquiring into causes of the endangered C.kawakamii population, protecting and enlarging the germ plasm resources of C.kawakamii, afforesting plantation and sustainable exploitation and utilization for us.The first innovative contents in the study is that for the first time, a new method of " annual ring - time series " is presented to determine individual age for rare tree species of hardy wood and long life span. The combinatorial model which can exactly predict the individual age of C.kawakamii population with higher precision is worth popularizing. By analysis of the sampling data, the structure of C.kawakamii population shows the shape of largo both ends and narrow middle part, which has abundant seedlings and more old trees, relatively few young trees, and the fragmentation of population structure is easily found.Five probability models are applied to analyze the structure features on diameter distribution of main tree populations in C.kawakamii forest. The results show that Beta distribution model is the best fitness to express the structure of diameter distributions of C.kawakamii population, which is suggested that the range of diameter distributions are wider and the number of mid-size wood is in the majority.Based on the life table of population and the theory of survival analysis, the standard life table of C.kawakamii population is founded by mathematical technique according to premising with "space deducing time" method. The mortal numbers, mortal cause, reproduction vigor and growth trend of population are analyzed on every age or growth phrase in the whole life. The important parameters of population dynamic change are calculated by life table. By analyzing the curves of mortality density function, hazard rate function and survival, population dynamics trend shows that the mortality rate of the C.kawakamii population is the bigger in early age, is depressed with wave following adding age and is relative steady afterward. The survival cure of the population belongs to the type of Deevey III. A Leslie matrix model of C.kawakamii population is developed by age distribution, survival rate and mortality of the static life table and fecundity schedule. Theoretical numbers of population of each age class in 75 ages can be predicated by using Nt=MNQ. According to the theory on characteristic root of mathematics, C. kawakamii population is relative stable as a whole. The simulating results show that the seed and growth period are more sensitive to disturbance and old-age tree stages are little sensitive to disturbance in the population life cycle. By using the spectral analysis method, the dynamics of C.kawakamii population is studied to show that quantitative dynamics of C.kcrwakamii population proceeds in the way of periodic fluctuation, which is coincident with the periodic fluctuation of annual growth of C.kawakamii.This paper presents the spatial distribution pattern (SDP) of C.kawakamii population using 5 aggregate indices and distance method, which are used for analyzing the causes of evolved pattern in the different habitats. The pattern dynamic and trendy rules of C.kawakamii are described in the different tree class. The res...
