The technology of throwing and transplanting rice seedlings reformed the rice planting technology. The task bases on the practical problem on planting rice, and works on a new kind of machine which transplanting rice seedlings planted on the trays in rows, in order to solve the problems on the rice planting machines in use nowadays. The task is significant in improving the rice planting mechanization and promoting the development of rice production.The task began with analysis of the basic theories and research of the experiments. We probed into the principle of auto-pulling and conveying seedlings and contrived the auto pulling and conveying rice seedlings fitting with precision ration through the experimental research about the physical dynamics of rice seedlings and the strength of pulling the seedlings from the trays, and contrived the partition and transplanting seedlings tube fitting through the experimental research about that how does the friction characters of rice seedlings and the dropping distance of the seedlings influent the planting depth. Then we finished the whole scheme of the machine of pulling rice seedling from trays and transplanting rice in rows and designed and manufactured the prototype. Then we examined the capability of the prototype and checked its production functions in field.The conclusions:1. The conclusion from the experimental research about the physical dynamic of rice seedlings and the strength of pulling the seedlings from the trays: The tensile strength of the rice seedlings increases when the age of that increases; but it decreases while the location where seedlings are clipped heightened; the tensile strength of the seedlings increases when the number of the pulled seedlings increases; and the strength of pulling seedlings from trays is much affected by the humidity of the trays while little affected by the age of the seedlings; under the normal condition, the tensile strength of the seedlings is much larger than the strength of pulling seedlings from trays, so it is feasible to pull out the seedlings from the trays.2. The conclusion from the experimental research about that how does the friction characters of rice seedlings and the dropping distance of the seedlings influent the planting depth: The friction factor between the bowl-shape earth and the trays is effected by the relatively humidity of the bowl-shape earth; it increases when the relatively humidity increases and it is at the maximum when the relatively humidity is 70 to 90 percent; both of the static friction factor and the moving friction factor between the seedlings and the different material changes the same way when the relatively humidity of the bowl-shape earth changes and the moving friction factor is less than the static friction factor; the planting depth of seedlings increases when the falling height of seedlings increases and in the field in normal quality, the planting depth of seedlings accords with agriculture requirement when the falling height of seedlings is between 0.75m and 1.5m.3. The prototype of the machine which transplanting rice seedlings planted on the trays in rows was designed and produced on the basis of the fittings experiments and the theories analyses. One of the fittings of the machine is the pulling seedlings device which is compose of rollers located oppositely in circle and is used to pull out seedlings and synchronically convey seedlings; the fitting conveys seedlings continually in precisely fix quantity and pulls out seedlings automatically, so it meet the requirement to tranOplanting rice seedlings in order and rows. Another fitting is the large wave shape bottom board which can make the soil form strip before planting and make sure the depth in the field of the seedlings and the erection degree of the seedlings; it resolve the problem that soil and water crowds before the bottom board so the moving resistance to the machine is decreased.
