At present, the domestic rice transplanter technology is relatively mature, manyagricultural experts put forward the appropriate change transplanter spacing toincrease rice yield based on the characteristics of in double-rice cropping region ofsouth area. Field experiments test indicated that the yield by of use8inch row spacingrice transplanter is much higher than by use of9inch row spacing rice transplanter inSouth China. Therefore, it is necessary that the8inch row spacing rice transplantershould be widely promoted and used in South China. It will improve the machinetransplanting rice yield per unit area, and ensure the high yield of rice production. Theprimary objective of this study was to improve and development the9inch rowspacing rice transplanter that was widely accepted in double-rice cropping region ofsouth hilly area, and managed to develop the8inch row spacing rice transplanter tosolve the inserting machine seedling raising difficult problems in practice. Thespecific research methods and research contents are as follows:1) By studying operating principle and main structure parts of the widely promoted9-inch rice transplanters, and combined with special requirements of8-inch ricetransplanters, put forward to improve the design of the key parts.2) Through the analysis of9inch rice transplanters of crank-rocker separateinserting mechanism transplanting process trajectory, according to agronomictechnical standard, obtains9inch spacing transplanter SEPARATING-PLANTINGmechanism along for8inch spacing transplanter, improve the versatility of parts3) According to the8inch spacing transplanter working requirements, the key partsof9inch spacing transplanter was improved, and the installation and debugging.4) The experimental results indicated that the row spacing in8inch compare with9inch, the actual yield increased as much as534.86kg hm-2, the average increasingrate was8.37%.5) By combining the difficult problems of mechanical transplanting rice with theclimate characteristics of southern area in China, the paper developed a specialnutrition matrix that is suitable for8inch row spacing rice transplanter, and study onits application effect. The results indicated that the seedlings used nutrition matrix wasstock, much chlorophyll, vigorous roots,uniformity of seedling growth and manytillers; Seedling quality can be improved and the seedling tillering ability furtherstrengthen, which promote the transplanted seedlings to grow early and quickly andform a good group structure. It ensured the effective panicles. The yield of early rice increased average29.43kg/666.7m2, the average increase rate was6.3%and laterice increased average33.66kg/666.7m2, the average increase rate was7.0%.
