There are length and breadth of rangeland acreage and rangeland types to provide development in themiddle part of northern slop of Tianshan mountains. It possess important ecological, economic and socialclass. This study investigated rangeland resource basal actuality. So this item has science technological andproduction guidance. The concrete results of this research are as follows:1.The environmental complexity brings about species diversity. There are 1288 species in 463 generaof 74 families. Their dicotyledonous are most in rangeland plant resources. The mesophytes and perennialherbs are most in the middle part of northern slop of Tianshan mountains rangeland plants. These reflectspecies more acclimatization. The area is rich in flora and the temperate genera are dominant. Everythingproves: the geographical elements have decided rangeland vegetation distribution.2.The study first use ecological-economical classification of rangeland plant ,which can representrangeland vegetation characteristics, purpose and worth.3.The results show that there are 7 rangeland class, 8 rangeland subclass, 41 rangeland groups and204 rangeland types in the middle part of northern slop of Tianshan mountains. So the rangeland types arericher in region. The montane steppe is richer in region. Therefore continental aridity climate affects therangeland types distribution.4.a-index shows: the biodiversity is highest in the alpine meadow and lowest in the desert. Thesedifferences are closely related to the ecology habitant and environment. ?-index reflects that theheterogeneity of habitat of rangeland vegetation among various environments is obvious. The verticaldifferentiations of rangeland species are made by habitat and environment evolvement.5.CCA results shows: annual rainfall, January temperatures present one of the most important factors. This conclusion explained why there was different mountain rangeland type where landforms were similarin the middle part of northern slop of Tianshan mountains.6.The study of the mountain rangeland complex structure and type in the middle zone of northern slopof Tianshan mountains indicate that humidity were major factors that affected rangeland complex form. The other factors are temperature and illumination intensity.
