The variety resources of Chinese radish (Raphanus sativus L. var. longgpinnatus Bailey) are abundant. Different ecotypes of varieties formed under the naturally and artificial selection. They can be divided into ecotypes as follow according to the edible habit: White peel Chinese radish which suitable to south regain, green peel Chinese radish which suitable to north regain and red one which suitable both to south regain and north regain. Another ecotype witch with red pulp and only exists in north regain occurred later than the others. It was verified(He Qiwei, et al.,1997) that this ecotype of Chinese radish was genesis by hybridize of green peel and red peel Chinese radish under natural condition and formed under continuous selection. It's a long course that the red pulp Chinese radish was token as fruit. But it would be better to the green one in flavor, tasty quality and other chemical index. Furthermore, it only consists in green peel ecotype and was not found neither in white peel ecotype nor the red peel one which were favor in south regain. Along with the prove up of the pigment synthesis and heredity discipline in red pulp Chinese radish, we can enhance the quality by hybrid with green peel ecotype which are high quality. And select new red pulp varieties which are as colorful and delicious as green peel ecotype. Moreover, new genotype can be created by transferring the red color gene cloned from red pulp ecotype into white peel with white pulp, or red peel with white pulp ecotype. Industrialize production of natural red pigment can also be realized by tissue culture of red callus. In this experiment, the discipline of pigment synthesis during the generate growth period and the relationship with PAL, PPO tyrosinase and the content of soluble sugar was studied. High efficiency regenerate system was established and anthocyanin transcript gene was cloned. The main results were as follows:The discipline of pigment synthesis during the generate growth period and the relationship with PAL, PPO, tyrosinase and the content of soluble sugar was studied using different ecotype Chinese radish such as green peel with red pulp, purple peel with red pulp, red peel with white pulp and green peel with green pulp which are all suitable to plant in autumn.
