Seven experiments were conducted to evaluate the effects of several physiological regulators on growth performance of Oreochromis aureus and the working mechanism were also elucidated through testing correlative hormone and physiological and biochemical parameters with growth. The details are summarized as follows.â… . Effects of cysteamine hydrochloride on growth and correlative hormone and physiological and biochemical parameters with growth of Oreochromis aureus.Experiment 1. Two hundreds and seventy Oreochromis aureus with similar body weight were randomly divided into 3 groups with 23 male and 7 female in every net to evaluated the effects of cysteamine hydrochloride (CSH) on growth performance and Neuro-incretion mechanism involved. They were fed with basic diet (Group A), basic diet + 150 mg/kg CSH(Group B) and basic diet +300 mg/kg(Group C), respectively, for 32 days. On Day 1,15 and 32 after the feeding, all of Oreochromis aureus were sampled from each group for determination of Body Weight, serum hormone and physiological and biochemical parameters. The results showed that the average daily body weight gain (DBG) of the male fish from Group B and C significantly increased 40.3% and 43.2%(P<0.05), respectively, as compared with Group A; specific Growth Rate (SPR) significantly increased 32.8% and 28.7% (P < 0.05); the DBG and SPR of the female increased 15.5% and 24.5%, 8.7% and 13.1% (P>0.05), respectively. The concentrations of serum GH> T3 and testosterone in the male from Group B and C were elevated 33% and 46.7%, 28.1% and 32.3%, 35.3% and 53.7%, respectively; the concentrations of serum GH,T3 and testosterone in the female were elevated 34.4% and 43.4%, 28.1% and 32.3%, 35.3% and 53.7%, respectively. The concentrations of serum urea nitrogen (SUN) in male and female fish from Group B and C were significantly decreased (P<0.05), the serum and liver antioxidant capacity significantly increased (P<0.05). The concentrations of serum glucose, Ca2+ and E2 had no significant changes (P>0.05).
