| Dairy industry is an industry with complicated component and involving a wide range of domains. To develop the dairy industry has been a great strategic policy as well as a long-term target in China. At present, Dairy cattle raised by scattered small farmer family accounts for more than 90% of dairy cattle amounts in China. Traditional dairy cattle feeding pattern still kept in small size, broad distribution and low efficiency, has never been changed, and lasted for a long time in China, which is imperative to develop large-scale and modernized dairy industry. According to The National Development Plan of Preferential Region for Dairy Industry, appropriate developing scale and rational region planning was strongly promoted for dairy industry development. Based on above dairy industry developing situation and being one of research objective of postdoctoral research, we did a large amount of on-the-spot investigation of Herlinger of Mongolia province, and obtain large quantities first hand data, and drafted Herlinger County Dairy Industry Development Strategy. Standardization model of dairy cattle feeding demonstration centre was strongly suggested . In every centre, there is cowperson living area, dairy producing area, forage processing and storing area, marsh gas producing area, etc. Between those areas, there should be roads (some clean some dirty), greenbelt and disinfecting pool, etc. In addition, forage planting area is also well organized.Standardization is the foundation of the establishment of high-quantity, high-quality, and high-efficiency Husbandry.Currently, Animal husbandry in China is changing from quantity production to quality production which is a strategic structure-adjusted phase. Enhancement of quality and efficiency will have to depend on the development of husbandry standardization. According to the writ ([2003]26) from the Quality and Technology office in Daxing district of Beijing, through a two-years investigation of dairy development in Daxing district, a local standard namely "Regulations of Dairy cattle feeding management" was drafted. The standard consists of seven parts, including dairy farm construction, dairy breeding, dairy reproduction, dairy management, dairy feedstuff, dairy sanitation and milk quality control, which will actively promote the procession of Daxing district's dairy standardization.The feedstuffs standards of "Trace Minerals and Vitamins Premix for Dairy Cattle" and "Concentrate Mixtures for Dairy Cattle" assigned to Institute of Animal Science, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences by National Feedstuff Industry Council and Ministry of Agriculture (MOA), respectively, are drafted or modified by reporter and his colleagues with their best. After comprehensive review about research on feeding and management of dairy cattle was made for practical considerations, diverse comments and constructive suggestion from experts in ruminant nutrition and production are thoroughly absorbed during the drafting and modification of two feedstuff standards with an sound aim to ultimately keep the feedstuffs standards rationality, practicality, and maneuverability for ruminant production situation in China. It is comprehensive, systemic and scientific that the feedstuffs standard of dairy cattle prescribes nutrient requirement of trace minerals and vitamins or concentrate mixture for different physiological phases dairy cattle. The two feedstuffs standards of dairy cattle will provide important basis for confecting premix or concentrate mixture in feedstuff factories or dairy cattle farms.
